  1. Just played the Wilson Pickett 45 mentioned earlier and there's quite a noticeable drop in volume about a third of the way through. Maybe this fault caused the 45 to not actually make the shops. The above is a nice uptempo track whilst the flip is great Deep!
  2. Don't think this is rare, just obscure. I've had 3 demos and 1 issue in the past year. Voices had an issue on their website recently.

  4. Hi Ian Guess you mean this one: PHILLIPS, ESTHER ATLANTIC 4077 I COULD HAVE TOLD YOU / JUST SAY GOODBYE 100 150 60 100 75 80
  5. Sorry the Wilson Pickett isn't for sale. Just be careful if collecting UK Mowest, Prodigal and Rare Earth for their Motown links. So much is complete garbage!
  6. Definitely exists - I have one - a date stamp demo. PICKETT, WILSON ATLANTIC 584173 THAT KIND OF LOVE / I'VE COME A LONG WAY

More like £200 - 300 for an issue copy. Demos deffo cheaper.
  8. Agreed with the Dells esp The love we had - fantastic deep soul. Stay in my corner is fabulous too, the goose pimples and hair standing up on end when Marvin Jr hits that real long "Stay" is a feeling that few records manage to match. Here's a few more from me: HOUSTON, EDDIE CAPITOL 2170 THAT'S HOW MUCH (I LOVE YOU) GREEN BERETS UNI 55186 (LORD) SEND ME SOMEBODY AL GREEN HI LP HOW CAN YOU MEND A BROKEN HEART WILLIAMS, LEE SHOT JEWEL 839 BABY, BABY

Someone alleged to me that TB's guide was rushed out to meet a deadline and wasn't fully updated from his database.
  14. Don't use more than the equivalent of £18 for customs value or you'll get hit for VAT(@ 17.5%), Import duty and their very nice handling charge for charging you. Vintage 45s don't count as antiques apparently according to the PO and HM Customs & Excise.
  15. Hmmm, If I was female this is where I would slot in the bit about packets of frozen peas, eh Jo?
  16. Prestatyn or Cleethorpes Ian. Both great.
  17. £30 according to the Manship UK guide Mr D.
  18. The four volumes given away by These Old Shoes at their Anniversaries, were fabulous compilations of tracks played by guest Djs over the preceeding year plus one or two each from Jo, Martin & PTP. However having made the guestlist in their last year the CD failed to appear. I spent many hours tracking down my favourite tracks from them, but was very disappointed when I found out that Buddy Smith and Robert Tanner were so expensive. Received the last one I've tracked down last week - Breaking point - Deena Johnson on Wild Deuce. Still play them all even now.

    Rhetta Hughes £100 - 135 last 3 I've seen listed. Barbara Lewis - £75 - 100 last 2.
  20. Don't think so, never seen a vinyl LP of this.
  21. According to the "It's not sentimental" CD this track was previously unreleased. Martin, you have mail.
  22. Yes it is mate. I can do you an MP3 if you want.
  23. Hi Martin Wasn't implying I hadn't got it back from you mate. I got it back from Geoff too. It's that buggar Mac holding the hot potato at the mo. Thanks for asking about H, she's resting nicely. See you soon
  24. sitc01 hasn't actually got it back yet. I did see it at the SITC before last though.
