  1. 1969 eh? So that means the suggestion / rumour it was played at the Twisted Wheel could be true. What with the Wheel only closing down early 1971.
  2. What year was this record released, as there is a suggestion / rumour that it got played at the Twisted Wheel. Perhaps not at the Allnighter but during the week. Anybody else heard this suggestion / rumour?
  3. After listening to the You Tube link somebody posted earlier, does the Lp track sound exactly the same as the US 45 release?
  4. Hah, that's interesting. So, is the Lp track more orchestrated than the US 45 release? Or, are you saying, if you want a more earthy / gritty version, do as you've suggested, which applies to both the Lp track and the US 45 release?
  5. I'm pretty sure it came out on a UK Lp, presumably Verve. Are you, or anybody else, able to confirm that or quash that belief?
  6. Didn't see anybody else coming forward offering help with useless information.
  7. Hey!!!???
  8. UK or US Verve Folkways??? Think it only got a UK release as an Lp track. But Id like to be corrected and told that it got a UK 45rpm release???
  9. Yes, I know who you mean. And if it's the same chap, he's really a nice fella but his prices can be quite PRICEY. Still, doesn't seem to account for this anomoly.
  10. Can't get the 'listen here' to work? It's okay now, all sorted. Nice record, wouldn't mind it in my collection.
  11. So that's two Big Maybelle white Demos I know of now. What condition is yours in?
  12. Must be in great shape. Please PM me. Thanks.

    What HAVEN'T you got??? :o)
  14. First choice: R&B If I couldn't have that, then a 'quiet' room where you can still here the music in the background for the Allnighter atmosphere but could buy / sell / talk about records.
  15. Was it not released on Stateside Ep? Also, I'm sure I have it on his 10" UK release?
  16. I wish it 'was' me being lazy. No, it's me working away Mon to Fri with only the weekends to get anything done.
  17. Yeah, piles, after spending much of the weekend trying to find the afore mentioned wiring diagram. It's gonna take longer than I expected, now that you've finally got round to reminding me, as my room needs a good tidying up to find 'anything' in there these days.
  18. True. And I've got plenty of them.
  19. Without individually valuing each and every record, is there some kind of rule of thumb method that can be used as a shortcut, say for insurance purposes, or just to estimate total value. I mean, would it be feasible to say that out of 8000 records, 1000 could be valued at an average of £50 each, whilst the rest could be valued at an average of say £20 each. Or is that too simplistic? I suppose it depends on the collectability of the collection. Anyhow, any thoughts? Who's going to kick start the conversation? Pete?
  20. Wanted. This UK released Lp in BEST condition. Please PM me. Thanks.

Hi Kev, What's your surname Kev? Keep me posted on this, I might be able to help out. Denbo.
  22. I think it's because he puts the effort in, by way of regularly presenting his sales in a neat, pleasing, informative manner, with good quality scans and sound files. In the long run, that's what's paying off for him. He has built up a good reputation and a following who look forward to his latest offerings. I take my hat off to him. Tony, seeya Tuesday matey. See my last email as to where and what time etc. Denbo.
