Got to be, Carstairs & James Fountain, then came along Mr Gil Scott Heron, these changed the style & direction of Northern IMVHO & I loved it but there was still a couple of stompy types that stand out in Sidney Barnes- I hurt on the other side & although people would sooner kiss a cows arse than admit they liked or danced to it, Baltimore & Ohio Marching Band's - Condition Red, which was massive & filled the floor, although of course I never did, now where's that cow gone? I just hope they get it right for a change & don't make us all look like "Thick Northern Git's" stuck in dead end job's & totally drug addled at the weekend's. Yes it has a major effect Mike, specially on the person taking or imbibing whatever remedy it may be but both make you talk bollox's & become incomprehensible but the beer makes some obnoxious & leary, whilst the dancing dust makes most lovey & dovey, so I've been told. If Tony's info is correct then as Mr paying public I just wouldn't attend again, promtional stunt or not, to get bodies through the door. I'd be well pi**ed off after traveling 2 hours to the venue & then gleened that info sometime during the night, or is it a "Local venue for local people", perhaps Tubsy?
