  3. ive got the luxembourg special they did round 1975 on tape, its actually very good narrated by 'your royal ruler' tony prince, he interviews the punters too live inside the casino
  4. capitol soul casino was on tape too
  5. correct with a few exeptions blues and soul went weekly for a period in the mid 70s but was short lived and reverted back to fortnightly, echoes went monthly in later years and echoes was always a bumper double issue at chrismas tho it wasnt really that 'bumper', even bessie banks '- - now ' was a question in the crossword the same as it was every other week of the year

one night in the early days 74/75 in the early hours a few of us went out for some air and a verbal and station road was COVERED in pills well mainly capsules, thousands upon thousands of them like a hailstone shower, not just outside the club but right down the road even all over the gardens behind the wall, we all said for sure this is the last night the casino cant survive this, would love to know the story behind this but i suppose its obvious the rejects from a bust there were a few on their hands and knees too.....
  7. dont know if it has any value but you dont see it very much, there wasnt a volume 2
  8. the record for taking the youngest kids to an all nighter has to go to.... well lets just say a very well known couple on the scene took took their very young kids to wigan on a hot summers night , parked on station road they went inside and left the kids in the car all night with all the windows closed, hard to beieve but true........

dont give winstanley the credit for this, dean parish was a played out record before the casino even opened its doors...
  10. agree totally, the u.s lapped up 24 hours a day it sold 100,000 on 12" alone and we never even had the sense to release it on 12" here. i dont care what anyone says levine should get more credit for some of his early releases, who in the u.k at that time was producing better than that??

  13. think king sporty was on the list too my theory was/ is he was too worried, he couldnt have competed in the world of new releases he would have been way out of his depth far easier to let soussan feed him, its kind of funny he banned those records yet stood by soussans side when he played those dire remakes one after another after another....thank god for the mecca

ian are you sure it was gay not saying your wrong but i have a gay friend who lived in san fransisco at that time, i asked him about that club first he said it was kind of out of the way from all the other clubs and when i asked him did he go his actual reply was i put my head through the door once but it was straight straight straight! and after all they did picture a woman in their logo, unless it was a drag queen, actually the more you look at it i think it IS a drag queen
