I actually think Northern Soul was a scene made up of various genres of music that has evolved into a genre in its own right. All be it a rainbow collection. Getting ready to go to a Northern night now.😉

Just want to state when i started this thread the purpose was to get other peoples views on the topic mentioned and was certainly not having a go at any organisation or promoter at all. Have been to various different promotions and nobody can control everyone' who comes through the door. Cheers.

No problem with dubious characters steve its the kheads that are the problem.

Much of that is true but certainly seems post lockdown people' are behaving differently. I can cope with most things but queue jumpers bring a dark side out in me.🤨

I think the enforced lockdown has probably attracted people who just want a night/weekend out and really dont care if its ns or abba being played. Many are not aware of certain unwritten rules at events.

Is it just me or has anybody else been slightly bemused by the behaviour at some events. From grown men totally ignoring the bar queue at Blackpool to idiots not intrested in the music just anyone in a skirt. Soul dos are my chill time and these activities are leaving me anything but chilled.

What? Over 80% of the population are double vaccinated and yet they only make up 33% of hospital admissions and virtually none are dying. 10% of non vaccinated population make up 65% of hospital admissions. Maybe maths isn't your strong point if you think vaccinations aren't working. Never said you couldn't get covid when double jabbed only the chances of death are negligible. Have a great day.

Proof of vaccinations via the nhs passport app or a negative lateral test within the last 48 hours will be needed for entry if asked at the turnstiles.

It wont be long before some sort of passport or test is needed at larger events. Have been informed random tests will be performed at the leicester v man city game on Saturday.

Actually being double vaccinated greatly reduces the risk of catching it . It greatly reduces the chances of serious illness and also greatly reduces the chances of spreading it. It doesn't 100% stop you getting it but greatly improves your chances anyone stating otherwise should do some research.

My last post said i wouldn't comment again but a post on foxestalk caught my eye!! Just a reminder about being jabbed. Russia yesterday 18000 cases and nearly 800 deaths. Uk double the cases and 68 deaths. Vaccinations are working and keeping people alive.

If people dont know there are still risks they must have been on the moon for a long time but....everything we do in life is a certain risk. People have car crashes are you never going in a car again? Planes crash are you never flying again? Your whole life from cradle to grave involves risks and its upto individuals to decide how much cotton wool you wrap yourself up in. Do what you feel safe with and live your life or dont . Ive been to several events and 2 weekenders and have been fine. Chances are slimer of catching it at soul events with an older population who on the whole would have been double jabbed I'd have thought.
