there was mint stock of the mercury issue around in late 90`s..i reckon its £500 behind any of the stone blue copies

still a common record today and does turn up a lot..even used copies on ebay usa every other week seem to appear... absolutely blinding record tho after all these..and you cant knock quality.... my 1st copy was £1.50..had 4 copies thru the collection over the years..not got one at all now

defo looks like the bootleg from here..80% of copies you see are counterfeit..the orig demo is more common than orig issue ..thats been counterfeited too

a lot of the boots have dimples in the vinyl..a bit like yum yums and eddie regan on abc paramount

400 may not win it for you but 500/550 should have sealed it in reality..like ted says nothing surprises anymore... this is not a rare record as there seems to be one for sale every other week...the quality is there tho

yep all decca labels.. brunswick,vocalion, coral... all have the time stamps on

harry if you get offered one for 600 i would snap their hand off.... or even put that infernal cecil washington against it

Not me malcolm.. only had the 2 usa promos on the shelves plus a couple of issues to move on.. never had uk or any exotic labels on this one although they gotta be out there

The joe stampley version is 1972/73.. it also made the billboard hot 100.. well actually it was the flip of soul song....not a soul record i hasten to add..it made no 37 on the hot 100 and was his biggest sucess...also came out in the uk.. it has more of a pop country feel to it than the 60s issue... even tho that is essentially a country record

Amazing... to think of owning records you think are dreadful..you should be tied to a chair and be made to listen to some of my son's unclean death metal for 24 hrs... you might see this record differently
