i have played it in the house over the years and even played it out a couple of times out when been asked for it but i just can get excited about it unlike love just begun which is a fave of mine

im sure that john had a handful of copies out of that L.A find. he did auction it a couple or three times in the year or so after.. so maybe they came from that, it was the first time i`d seen one for sale in years and i think they were all over 2k

another one that books high but in reality is not or should not be too expensive £80 to £100 imo

it must be just the part of the country where i live as we are still submerged in classic owdies in south yorkshire....that sadly dont seem to be diminishing at all

2k+ for a nice original......so if the copy played ok maybe the price was fair

has sold for more tho i think £700 nearer the mark.....glad i got mine when it wo a £50 record

neil rushden may have used the same delta number when he had this reissued but im certain the rpack forest red copy is the reissue...would be nice to see the runout markings on all 3 as chalky says

interestingly the rpack forrest red guy is a brit who lives in canada i think... he would have bought the soul patrol over here years ago before he emigrated....dealt with him loads of times and pretty good as a rule. but same as most may not know if the copy above was a 1st issue or 2nd for certain

i would have thought that the typeface of orig issue would be the same as the demo ( also with the same markings in the runout)....to me it looks like the one on the right is the repress in sheffsouls 1st post

i bought issue in pic cover from JM over 20 years ago for £8... didnt think it was rare at all

i play it once a flood chalky.....i had it on a tape early 90`s covered as mathew barnett..... not sure who the tape was from....probably steve smith as i had a few from him at that time

hmmm ..fantastic record....maybe too slow to be northern but too fast for a beat ballad....it does pick up in the 2nd half of the record tho

well its been a good read for me on my holidays... some prices have gone up..some havent altered some are low probably because john hasnt had a copy in years....if any body has a mist on twinight for 100 ukp or pandella kelly for 15ukp i`ll take them..quite a few things still missing tho..... i wish i hadnt sold the new wanderers..3000ukp lol....still a very good guide and not gospel read tho imvho
