  1. There are several presses for this superb track on both vinyl and styrene. Some copies state the '1972 ABC Records Inc.' above the logo, whilst others are below...or in this case around the bottom of the label. Then there are the 'You Love' copies, as pointed out by dave, which is possibly the hardest variant? A mighty tune whatever the label variant...shame the WDs don't feature this side.
  2. I don't think £40 is over the top seeing as it's the first label for this classic...although I have a mint- Showtime WD on my site for £25...and a mint- Heritage demo for £20.

  4. On reflection (and after looking at other similarly pressed discs!), my money is now on Audio Matrix, NYC. With regards to the Delta numbers...possibly three months apart...maybe they submitted a new master, maybe the first got broken, maybe we'll never know...but I doubt it is a case of bootlegger with a scalpel?
  5. Looks like an East Coast (or Mid-West?) press to me...the layout, font and the way the D.J. COPY NOT FOR SALE is set out is reminiscent of many East Coast labels, no?
  6. I think that is reasonable, personally. The stock copy is tougher in my experience.
  7. This one always sells quickly for me...quality cross-over!
  8. It's a terrific album packed with dancers...'Lonely Man', 'Backwards Upside Down', 'Romeo & Juliet', 'Respectable', 'Cool Jerk' etc.
  9. Never been particularly easy to pick up, although I had a clutch of them during the mid-8Ts. Last copy I sold was at the tailend of 2008 for £25. The flips pretty cool as well - 'A Lovers Plea'.
  10. What did the Yvonne Baker Parkway WD go for the other day on Mannies auction, please? IGNORE - just spotted Joe post with the recent results on. MODS feel free to delete this message.
  11. Daimon, I have a copy of the Outsiders LP if you want it? PM or email me. Flynny
  12. Nor me, just stumbled across it whilst searching for details on Harold Burrage's funeral!
  13. Didn't realise the wonderful book, 'Chicago Soul' by Robert Pruter is available free to read online Check it out if you've already...great stuff! https://books.google.co.jp/books?id=2kkcmS0AzMEC&pg=PA219&lpg=PA219&dq=harold+burrage+funeral&source=bl&ots=5izMyRF_Cj&sig=AnkFYymTJEwE58HlleuuRF9i1CA&hl=en&ei=WWI5TuHcH4yOmQX2yJy8Bw&sa=X&oi=book_result&ct=result&resnum=4&ved=0CCsQ6AEwAw#v=onepage&q=harold%20burrage%20funeral&f=false
  14. Great tune...a real grower with cross-over appeal curently under the radar to many folk? Apparently, the white label copies are actually the stock copy to the purple label double-sided demo. The white label copies also feature a great version of, 'You're No Good'. I have a spare WD for £75 on my site at present: https://www.anorakscorner.com/SalesPage7.html
  15. Guys From UNCLE - The Spy Oldie or Moldie?
  16. You'll soon be moving onto M-Pac and One-Derful, if you haven't already Anyone got a scan of the promotional playing cards with these labels on...remember Soul Bowl had them many moons ago
  17. Love both designs...the 'explosion' and the 'twin flags': (The Ultimations and Cicero Blake are spares, if you need them?)
