Not much help John, but there was recently a CD of unissued Big Mack material in the Eccentric Soul series which had Bob N Fred , Edd Henry amongst others on it. I'm sure Paul at Millbrand and the Grapevine guys may be able to help. Rich
  5. Many moons ago - whilst experiencing the joys of Thunderbird 'wine' amongst other things we scaled the walls of the local tip (Don't ask I was all of about 17) - Amongst the 'finds' (which included what must have been about 500 porno mags) were 15 copies of Doug Banks - Kept On Dancing Nitetime re-issue. Not a 'find' by any stretch but why?who? where??? Sold the last 3 on Ebay last year for a few quid each. Rich
  6. Cheers! I'll scan it later just to make sure! Rich
  7. Soundbreakers - Trying To Get Back To You b/w Jerk Is Catching - Symbol 220 DJ Bought a box of 45s from a mates' neighbour - Nowt really special but in there is this 45. The Symbol lettering looks smaller than others I've seen on demos and looks quite 'bootish' if you get what I mean. Any ideas? ATB Rich
  8. Not sure if it is the same group who recorded on Dakar (Tho there is the the Chicago connectionbut splet ComplAments) - Never played the two together - But Falling In Love is a worthy group effort. 'Beware' used to be a right £5 cheapie and was one of the first group northern 45s that I just had to have! Great label Midas too! ATB Rich
  9. The track your after (I think!) will be 'Keep On Pushing Love' - 12. Mucho sought after promo only(?) - About £60/£70 on vinyl. ATB Rich
  10. Pete - You would be surprised just how many you would sell if you did a £3 a piece etc list on here. Maybe a list a week? I for one mainly collect non-northern these days - ballads/deep etc etc and I bet a fair amount of others do too. ATB Rich
  11. Still on auction Dan - Currently £1100. ATB Rich
  12. Surely surely NO-ONE (and I defy anyone) dislikes Curtis Mayfield. Towering figure not just in the soul genre but music full stop! ATB Rich
  13. On the site to the small discussion on North Bay records? The search box doesn't seem to come up with it? Mods - Delete post someone finds it. Cheers. Rich
  14. The Funky Delicacies label put out a whole slew of Senator Jones material alonside much more N.O related soul/funk. Barons CD below. https://www.cduniverse.com/productinfo.asp?...63183&BAB=E Lots to wade through - though I seem to remember having a few of the Funk Funky New Orleans LP's and the sound/mastering was a tad poor. Rich
  15. Baz Senator Jones - The Fat Man - Shagg 801 Barons - As Sure As Your Born - Shagg ??? Vickie Labatt - Got To Keep Hanging On - Shagg 712. I think the Guitar Ray is #711, I may be wrong. Major Lance on Apple? How..which..why did it end up on there? Anyone any clues? Link if you haven't seen it. One off? https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...p;rd=1&rd=1 ATB Rich
  19. Wasn't the Clements disc a supposed £400 quider at one time? Seem to remember an old Record Collector issue going on about it in a UK rarities issue. Of course all in the years BE (Before Ebay) Rich
  20. =================================================================== tis the same guy Derek and has long long been in my faves box for about 15 years now. Had a mate Danny Stone who found a box of em in a New Orleans store (Can't remember which one but he found 6 copies of THE Q too). Anyhow - got covered up on tapes as Sam Fletcher and to me is a superb beat ballad worthy of a bit more attention. Sales pitch over! Rich

Cheers Tone. You may be right! ATB Rich
  22. Absolutley love this ladies material. Adventures In Paradise / Perfect Angel & Come to My Garden - 3 essential LPs and ones I'll never tire of listening to. Tragic loss of an immensely talented artist. Yes, Lovin You is her most common -It was a massive hit after all but what a voice and range! ATB Rich
  23. Pretty sure I saw it in a sales box... However in my wonderous sproggy youth I was prone to a bit o leering at what was on the decks. Used to love them Hyde allnighters - Always a good night. ATB Rich
