The Best £5 Record In Your Play Box?
==================== Just picked this up at a fair for a quid - have to say its a crackin' little 45. This & the Johnny Johnson Stateside B Side are two under-rated (and over looked due to the 'A' sides) SOUL 45s ! to Ernie Andrews (I think) for the tip - this is what Soul Source is about! ATB Rich

Playboy Records
Seem to have a few on this label - Some nice 70s bits: I assume it was part of the Heffner / Playboy group. So in the spirit of Heff! Here's a couple o' beauties to kick off : Al Wilson - Be Concerned b/w I've Got A Feeling (PLAYBOY6062) - Just love this tale of inner city living & social commentary! Bobby Taylor - Why Play Games (PLAYBOY 6046) - Nice bouncy tune - Cheap! Anyone for anymore??? Faves / obscurities? Seems to have had quite a run from looking at the numbers - tho' I'm sure there'll be other genres mixed in? Cheers Rich

I'd Like To Play
Our DC (Ex Mrs Weller or girlfriend if I'm right) is a fine singer in my opinion - ' No Time To Play ' standout track from Guru's fine Jazzmatazz projects. Like him or not anyone who gathers together PROPER musicians is ok in my book. One not mentioned which has had a few plays is her 'Things Will Be Sweeter ' 12 from mid 90s. From the era of the Affair / Act Of Faith Drizabone etc. ATB Rich

Many thanks Dave. Much appreciated. Rich- Big Ask
One of the first soul lps I bought was a Charly Soul Sampler - Mid 80s I think - Have quite a few of their LP's but keep seeing ones I dont have or would like - Can anyone point me in the direction of a complete listing of their Soul vinyl Lp's? Great evening listening with a glass of red! Thanks in advance Rich- The Best Stafford
Limitiations - I'm lonely, I'm troubled - not sure if this was early Stafford tune for Keb? but what an intro - defintely one for dancers. Seen cheapish at <£50? Gordon Keith - Look ahead, Calumet - think this is still cheap unless it went back up again Two fantastic records IMHO - Limitations - not one I've seen about that much - Love it! Gordon Keith - Used to be a staple 15 quidder - Seen ones as much as £75! Rich- New Uk Postage Rates
Evening! How much does this new way of mailing stuff thru the PO affect 45s/LPs? Before we all get ripped off on ebay..... Anyone know? Apologies if dealt with in an earlier thread - Mods delete if necessary. ATB Rich- Value Please : Superstars 12"
Anyone with a listing of Budweiser? Was everything released on the label Soul? Anyone with a bit of history on it? Keep seeing a few bits and wouldn't mind a few pointers. ATB Rich- Volumes
'Same Old Feeling ' best by an absolute country mile for me. First heard it on a tape from John Powney - and I've loved it ever since. Ricc- De Luxe [what A Logo]
If anyone is interested - Here's what I have so far re. the 100 series. The 8000 / 6000 series Ithink is pre 60s - Lots of Doo Wop / Early group stuff. Someone may want to correct that though! If you want a word doc format - PM me & I'll email you a copy. Anyone with missing numbers?
