Jon Donvon - Looking For Your Love - Paradigm
Although it's a want of mine (like so many others), this is more of a question. Does anyone know a ballpark value for this? I know it's rare and I'd like to have a figure in my mind, rather than having a complete shock, if one does ever come up for sale. Cheers, John

I Cant Believe It
Pete, So how does this compair to Tolbert - I Got it, as I remember you were a "big fan" of that? I remember when Clifton Dyson appeared at the Norfolk Village, copies seemed to appear out of the woodwork, which he was happy to sign.

The Other Side Of The Record
A similar situation to the Carol Anderson. I had a tape of Rod Dearlove on I think a Steve Hobbs show, where Willie Johnson - It's me was played (I think it was the same show that Wilson Picket - I Want You was played) and another call to Soul Bowl. With the other side What am I going to do without your love - Savannah International. Bought Charles Brimmer - The Feeling is in my heart - Broadmoor. The other side is the absolutely fabulous Mr Teardrops Bought Bill Brandon - Rainbow Road - Tower, and the other side is a cracking bit of 60's "You've Got That Something Wonderful"

The Other Side Of The Record
Bob Jones played Carol Anderson - I'll get off at the next stop on one of his Solar/Horizon shows and it completely blew me away (still one of my all time fav tracks). A quick call to Soul Bowl and it was in the post. I didn't flip it over for about a year and found Sad Girl on the other side.

Genuinely Rare Records
Is that the one that was on ebay a few weeks ago? The seller put quite a write up on it. I had never hear of it until I saw it on ebay. It's the only VOEH record I don't have (I think), but, was a bit too pricy for me once I heard the soundclips.

50 Years Of Stax
It's definately one of my favorite lables, with my prefernce from the years 69-75, when it got more "black", with Hays, Porter, etc taking more control. I also went to an all night do at the Scala Cinema in the late 80's (I think) for a blaxploitation film night + music, with accross 110th Street, Cleopatra Jones and the awsome "Whatstax". I've been trying to get a copy, was it ever released on video or DVD? I think it would be great if we could have a day, where we post up sounds of "the great and the good" as a tribute to 50 years. Rarest Soul 12"
Mark, Again you come up trumps. I saw the Lee Morris on 7" of "I got played on" on Alley Cat listed many years ago, but never the 12". I had it on Lee & Co 003, and assumed that it was a leased deal with Alley Cat for wider distribution. But youve shown it's got a a different flip to the Lee & Co release, what's it like? Is this the "Alley Cat" that Charles Wilson was on? John

Rarest Soul 12"
More of a question than a statement. How rare are Funder Cooper - She's All Right and John Donvon - Looking for you (I think it's a 12) as these have been on my wants list for a while and have never seen them come up, or have I just missed them. John
