  1. This picture shows the first press, and it's the same as the white demo! Also it has the right vinyl profile on the outer edge, different from the counterfeit with the fake archer stamp. I am now starting to think that the Nashville press is still part of the original release effort.
  2. Yes and lately another USA seller has had many mint Swan white demo's of Janice Christian "It's Just A Bad Thing" for auction. They are all still selling the going rate.
  3. Good idea, but it needs a time limit. Most records have been found in quantity at one time or another! In the 1970's/80's John Anderson at the Soul Bowl was bringing back multiple quantities of records, that are now going for silly money! Maybe only records found in quantity in the last 5 years onwards?
  4. Original first issue Demo copy of this great early 70's Crossover record. Condition is m- Stereo one side and Mono the other. £30 + 4.69 to UK address. Any question please just ask.

  6. Great set of records, so good to get a playlist and not just a venue report👍
  7. "If You Can't Tell Me Something Good about My Baby" - The Mark 1V All Of A Sudden - Melvin Moore I'm Lost Without Your Love - Bee Vee & Honey Bee I Call You Every Morning - Fantasy Thinking About You - The Answers I'm Loving You - Cloudburst I'll Let You Slide - Saints
  8. Good topic but maybe best to ask just for listings of titles and artists, and not get bogged down with youtube sound clips!
  9. I always find it ironic when Americans are buying back American records!🙂 I hope you are able to get them👍
  10. SOLD. THE PRIMERS "HOW DOES IT GRAB YOU" MONSTER NORTHERN SOUL, NOW DELETED Flip is " SHADOW OF A MEMORY" - Minnie Jones. Kent UK original first issue. Two great sides of this now deleted, very collectable label. These are only getting harder to find! Condition is mint-. My highest grading. £30 + £4.40 recorded post.
  11. This sort of record would have fitted into the so called Jazz/ Funk scene that developed in the very late 1970's early 80's. I remember Colin Curtis playing nothing but 12" singles of Jazz/funk. I never hear the term Jazz/ Funk anymore, does it still exist?
  12. Northern Soul Classic on an original USA Decca issue. So much rarer than the pink demos and more visually pleasing to have in any serious Northern Soul collection. Condition is Excellent. A small drill hole in the label. It plays loud and clear with great fidelity as you would expect from a major label release. £450 plus £9 fully insured postage. Paypal f&f or bank transfer. Any questions welcome, please just ask.
  13. I think it could of been Roger Banks who used to play the "The Lively Ones" by Brooks O'Dell in his dj set. That would of been in the late 80's early 90's when I heard him feature it. Also I remember "Standing Tall" getting played at the Winsford allnighters about that time as well.
  14. I went to nearly all of these Ritz Manchester allnighters in the 1990's and really enjoyed them all. Just about as good as it gets! Well done Mr Searling for putting them on💫
  15. It's has a great flipside as well "Player, Play On"
  16. Yes for a while Gerri Granger was the 4th before 8. Gerri Granger "I Go To Pieces" then the usual three.
  17. Yes that's right. There was sometimes really four before eight as "I Go To Pieces" - Gerri Granger was added later on. It was always an emotional and atmospheric moment when they used to play them on a Sunday morning at the end of a busy all nighter💫.
  18. Great set of records on that playlist from Phil Wainwrights dj spot. I wish more event reviews would list some of the records played like you have done Kev. It gives a better idea of what the event was like.
  19. A couple of other slower big records I remember getting played before James Fountain were "Love Bandit"- Kenya Collins and 'Cool Off" - The Detroit Executives.

  21. The Sunny and the Sunliners was a £15 to £20 set sale record for many years. It was regularly on USA ebay for not a lot. It's only gone up in the last few years. There must be a bit of a buzz on it at the moment!
  22. Rare issue copy in excellent condition. £450 plus £9 fully insured delivery to UK address.
  23. All-time Northern Soul Classic on the rarer issue original. Condition is Excellent. £500 + £9.50 fully insured postage to UK address.
  24. Yes "You've been So Wonderful To Me" and "He's All I Got" should be in there. Of there hits, I would of liked to see "Nothing But Heartaches" included. But the biggest omission is the supreme "Stormy".
  25. Look's like the west coast issue. Doesn't turn up very often. Monarch pressing plant?
