It's not a record I have ever been keen on, but there are worse records that are wasting vinyl. An example being I have a mint, beautiful looking, ZTSC stamped blue Dearborn issue of a horrible country & western record. How I have wished it would turn into the Silky Hargraves goodie!

Yes it exists, as mentioned above. My mate bought a copy in 1978 on an issue. It doesn't turn up very often and used to be relatively high priced.

I listed them as a bit of interest for people who don't normally look at Brady's auctions. I would have liked to have presented it better, but I can't see it has done any harm to anyone! The informative Ebay Highlights section on this site lists up and coming auctions before the auction had finished, so not much difference.

I hope you are going to say the same when John Manship auctions are put up on here. People can get a link to Manships site and get the finishing prices direct!

Not sloppy but informative. If someone wants something they can bid now, even though some of the auction's are not finished until next week. Pat Brady has some great records on auction, and I just wanted to give them a bit of recognition, as some of the other major dealers get.

It was popular for DJ Saus on the Northern Soul circuit in the 1990's. He featured at a lot of allnighters at that time. The track sounds 1960's to it's very core.

We have no release date for Hemisphere, but it's a pretty good guess that Hemisphere was first and I agreed with you, but it's not proven. Although look how it turned out with Frankie Beverly on Fairmount, most people thought Rouser was the first label, but it turned out that Fairmount was first!!🤔

I agree, and Sound Of Soul productions was based in Richmond, Virginia which matches the address on the Hemisphere label.

Some great records mentioned, I can't see what's wrong with a chart that has "To Win Your Heart" by Laura Lee in it. I have known it for 50 years, but it's still a great record! Same goes for others like Candi Staton and Sandi Sheldon, Willie Tee, etc. The article briefly sums things up, without going too deep but I wouldn't necessarily call them overlooked classics.

Very rare record on UK HMV, but the price varies a lot depending on condition. £250 to £500 for a Ex to Mint copy. Centre knocked out for example, can more than half the price!

It was very big at the Casino in Wigan around 1978. Great record.

Well as we know it's a rare record on Toxsan, so if you are wanting to sell you could get the price you paid. The prices I quoted are what I would pay, but it all depends on what a buyer wants pay. Personally I would want a clean looking copy.

Well you asked for an opinion on the price. It's not my fault you don't like it. As for the label I can't see the point of paying for a collectors record that doesn't look good. I mean you can play it all day long on youtube. And if you only want to play it and not bothered how it looks, a Brunswick copy would do.

About a £100 to £150 with all that scribbled out label damage and one of those impossible to remove "Mr Chips" stickers. A mint copy £250 to £300.

"Too Hot To Hold" - Major Lance - Okeh demo original. Ex has two very faint stars on label. £35 plus 3.50 post. "Nothing Worse Than Being Alone" - The Ad-Libs - Share original 45. Ex. £20 plus postage. "Love Won't Wait" - Bobby Caldwell - Epic. Rare New Zealand copy. M- but has a very slight storage lift. Plays great. £10 plus £2.10 post.

It's good and great for the Northern Soul dancefloor. I've always thought there's a similarity in the backing track that reminds me of the Magictones "It's Better To Love".

Original copies are very rare, so if selling, you could name your price and probably get it. But there are a lot of lookalike copies about. It was repressed for the Northern scene in recent years, at least twice that I know of.

It is not a rare record. There are lots of copies. But it has been getting a higher price these days, so I suppose this auction price is good by that comparison.

The funny thing was when I got to the services, I never wanted anything to eat after the allnighters😉
