  1. One of my favorite crossover sounds. Eerie sounding record, but when he comes in with the opening line 'this man loves you....' after that awesome intro.....class work. All the copies I've seen have been name stamped.
  2. Brilliant record, should get more action. £250 quid though is ridiculous.....considering it is an available record.
  3. Does anyone have a copy of Richard Cook 'Somebody Gotta Help Me' on Tragar as a high quality mp3 please? Any help would be very greatly appreciated! Cheers JM
  4. Sherrell Bros. - The Price - Currison Does anyone know what this went for at the end of the auction? Last time i looked it was on £250!! Cheers, JM
  5. Art Falls - I Want You Baby - Nautilus VG+ (plays with very slight background noise) £100 Little Frankie Lee - I Gotta Come Back - Peacock EX+ (very similar to Freddie Houston on Old Town) £40 PM me Cheers!
  6. Agree absolutely Macca......nothing wrong with presenting our heroes and heroines (and by that i mean the artists ) in a cool, smart and artistic way....their superb music is more than derserving of being promoted with well thought out design. And with Photoshop and today's access to similar tools anyone with an eye for art and passion about the music can have a go at making their own flyers, which in turn will hopefully create a wealth of soulful design which will become part and parcel of the the cool as f*** imagery of this scene imho. No one complains about the quality of the artwork on Kent CD's for example (which is very often a mix of excellent rare photos and great design)......in fact there was a recent exhibition of Kent artwork I think? Also, a lot of the old skool style flyers are little pieces of soulful art in themselves, the whole fanzine imagery and everything.....fantastic stuff only those who love soul music would appreciate properly.
  7. absolute class....
  8. Junior McCants in Tims at £10,000 I think? Frankie Beverly on Rouser has to be more than £4000? Inspirations? Margaret Little ect....??
  9. John Manship has had this up on his R f the R for a while which is where I first heard it......brilliant record as you sa....
  10. "I really won't mind if it doesn't sell - I'll just put it back in my collection for another decade or two" Hate this kind of bluff and drivel sellers put sometimes....
  11. Who did that excellent one where it had been shot in a phone box and all the hooker phone box cards said stuff like 'hot sticky soul' ect? From a year or so ago? That was very well done
  12. Anyone have any info on The Inconquerables? Price, rarity? Is it as tough as the Antellects? Also has it had any action anywhere? cheers
  13. The Soul Rev ones are very well crafted. I work with Photoshop professionally and you can see the level of quality and skill that has gone into the design of them. Not a bad thing at all in my book. Although I have also visited the designer's site and they are established professionals. Also the latest 100 Club flyers have been fantastic as well, and the Spanish scene often seem to knock up great designs, S.O.U.L. being one of them. I'm all for good design being associated with great music. As has been said though, ultimately the night itself is what really counts.
  14. could do one on mars la tour as well......?
  15. Does anyone have a Flodavieur discog? I only know of Antellects, Inconquerables and the Toby Bullard but there is a question over that I thought?

  21. Just had a listen to this on Tim's auction....fabulous record from what i've heard....does anyone have anymore info on it at all.....? Can't read who the vocalist is from the pic..... Almost like a cross between Mixed Feelings and Sir George on G&G.... Cheers! JM
  22. Nick Rennie used to have info and photos of them recording this at this address but the link dosen't work for me anymore: https://homepage.ntlworld.com/nick.rennie/n...mbassadors.html They were a blue eyed group from Virginia recording in Philly? Is this correct?
