  1. That Wally Coco on Florentine mentioned elsewhere sounds very much like his style as well.....
  2. He did another one on Decca I think that is a cover as well but not as good? Didn't realise he was in the original chants!
  3. have pm-ed re ceasars allstars
  4. Tony Etoria - I Can Prove It This is a great record! I'd love to hear it out..... ....also always loved 60's soul-wise, Steve Aldo - Absolutely Right - Parlophone Psychic Circle recently comped some nice obscure UK bits including Roger Peacock, Carl King, & George Paul Jefferson.
  5. Prefer this version to The Parisians, better backing. Good luck with the search.

How much does the Wally Coco on Florentine go for?
  7. Tidy price for Target
  8. hair bloody hair more like
  9. "Are there many DJs with shaggy hair who put good sets together on a regular basis? Most good DJs have short crops or bald bonces." Are there any with thatched hair AND moustaches?
  10. Beautiful record!
  11. The Marvin Gaye price is scary, can't believe JT Rhythm went for the same! Something must be wrong there? Isn't that a lot for Al Mason as well?
  12. Always thought 'Tell Her' is a beautiful and eerie record. Whats the deal with it rarity wise?
  13. It's been on the bay now and then Callum (Popsike shows one in oct last year and then jan of 2009) so you should strike gold sooner or later?...surprised this never got more action in mod clubs in the past, or maybe it did?
  14. Whats the rarity on this? I've noticed it isn't booked. Tidy group mover, its a different group from the Chick Carlton outfit i take it or the group on Linda?
  15. Lovely sinister group r&s....love the rising guitar licks in the last third. Good luck!
  16. Thats some price hike
  17. I thought this was a £500 ish record as well....£1500?!!
  18. Isn't 'I Dig You' on One Way?
  19. "i agree, i can't believe people in this thread are saying that a beach and garage/tex-mex group's cover of one of the great early 70s soul group records are better than the original. i don't think that the covering groups would even say that." Like the Bluesbag version but it needs to lose the choppy organ. The Intrigues is lovely. I really like the RJ one as well but don't think anyone said it was neccasarily better?
  20. I think CDKM has a Blues Bag copy for sale @ £300, not keen on the weird choppy organ in it myself. The other two versions are better imho, and for the price, surely the Intrigues version
  21. Isn't there a Braswell on Gene too?
  22. "nah it's good to keep one on ones toes when changing the old records over" Used to have British club soul thing by Lee Grant that stopped dead for about 6 seconds then kicked back in.....always used to forget and start another record off! Doh....
  23. Would have to say one of the few r&b records i regret selling. If you look in the runout someone has carefully scratched in "Love" in Cheers-esque writing! Anything else on the (beautiful) Club 7 label?
  24. Think the Flint Emeralds is quite a tough record to find?
