  1. Anyone got any ideas about how to further encourage the feedback feature? You can hope the feature gets used more and more over time, but I got a feeling it needs something extra to make it customary for buyers to use this system. Don't have an idea (yet) on how to do this, but I think it needs something extra to make the feature a real success...
  2. Great overall idea I think cause it'll push the sellers to give the best possible service... Not sure about the removal of negative feedback though. I think removal of neg comments would cause heated discussions, and I don't know whether the mods are very keen on that.
  3. Of course mate. There's tons of styles of music and most genres have a few tunes that stand out. And if you're honest there's quite a few dancefloor faves that don't have that 'special ingredient' to compete with top tunes in other genres. It's all a matter of taste of course, but still...
  4. I've been wondering about the same thing a few months ago, but in retrospect I think it was just due to me sitting down in front of the turntable instead of standing up. With the 45s spinning in eyesight the warps were more noticeable. Didn't prevent me from freaking out and thinking the collection was slowly destroying itself though
  5. Moved all remaining 45s to the bay... >>>CLICK HERE<<<
  6. Barbara Mercer a steal at this price. Someone snap this up quick!
  7. List updated, open to offers on the remaining 45s...

  11. Ah good news! I'm wondering though how they will improve the MKII which, as we all know, is already perfect...
  12. Does this include the 1210s too? If so that's some sad sad news indeed... Better start recording those beloved to mp3s then (and donate 'em to yours truly because they won't be playable anyway ) No seriously... this really sums up the position of vinyl in musicland Never understood why people don't seem to care about the fact that vinyl SOUNDS BETTER
  13. Thanks for the heads up mate, greatly appreciated Update: One copy of Johnny K sold, Willi J sold, Dolly Gilmore on hold and Brothers Guiding Light kind of on hold

  15. Now watch me wink the eye while I say this: Maybe the winning bidder was tired eBay doing nothing about all this and decided to take it one step further Alternate account, sniper membership expiring soon, so what better time to do this than now.
  16. Maybe the winning bidder was tired eBay doing nothing about all this and decided to take it one step further
  17. My thoughts exactly. I can't imagine waiting at the doorstep and the thrill of opening the package when it's just a carver. And with those you can't really brag about your collection (admit it, it's one of the greatest things about collecting) To conclude I'd say those kind of buyers deserve those kind of records...
  18. Great to read some more info bout this one... Thanks for sharing! Always felt that the tune had something 'different' that made it stand out. Might've been the Asian environment that might've influenced the band members and the sound?
  19. I agree with raresoul.net. Don't know why, but there's a tendency for auctions in Belgium, Netherlands, Germany etc. to finish lower. Had the exact same problem as you but noticed I could get 'normal' prices when putting records on the bay as set sale instead of auction. Opening an eBayshop only costs a few quid a month (dunno how much exactly) but this is largely compensated by the prices you'll get for your records. Oh and I think it's free for the first few months too. The question remains of course...Why do auctions from the European mainland do worse than those in UK/US?
  20. my heart skipped a beat when I saw that one. Just checked my bank account and I'm £49000 short, so I don't think I'll be bidding on this one
  21. I haven't posted anything in sales for a few months because I've been very busy, but in the meantime I've always been on the lookout for quality 45s and I've been able to buy a few small collections too. The quality tunage was piling up so I decided to spend a whole weekend selecting, recording, scanning researching everything I needed for this list. It was hard to resist the urge to party, but I'm very pleased with what I've done instead. The result is a sales list of 109 45s in all various soulful genres (Doo-wop, modern, popcorn, R&B, Chicago, Detroit, New Orleans, ... you name it, it's in there). Shipping to anywhere in the world for any number of records will cost £5. I apologize in advance for the high shipping costs, but that's the actual amount I have to pay to send a record to the UK. I'll cover paypal costs. If interested or if you have any questions or requests don't hesitate to PM. I'll answer asap. First member who PMs about a certain record gets it, and I can keep on hold for up to a week. Enjoy the list! There's some lesser known things in here that are worth listening to. And if you can't afford them just try to enjoy the soundfiles. I'll keep 'em online if you want... Tommy Youngblood - Now you're on your own / Why did you leave me - Rayco 518 Ultra rare R&B.
