  1. There's a version by 'The Daughters Of Eve' on Cadet but re-titled 'Social Tragedy' for some reason!
  2. This was in among the first few I bought.. 'Lou Roberts & The Marks - Ten To One' (MGM).
  3. AKA The Blue Sharks. The same cut but louder and minus the crowd noise version on this UK LP...
  4. That could get plays at 'Northern' nights, great vocals! EDIT: I knew I'd heard it before! Track 19... Accidentals on there too.
  5. I got my copy from a car boot years ago. I played the other side first 'Out Of Sight, Out Of Mind' and immediately thought Garage/Freakbeat. However I have to say, soon as I played the other side 'Is It On Is It Off' I immediately thought Garage / Northern. Just my observation.
  6. Without getting into the 'Blue-eyed Soul' sounds rather than Garage per se I guess this falls into the Garage/Soul category. Played at niters? Not sure, it's acetate only... https://youtu.be/xT8HTBWVP_U
  7. That Little Jr. Jesse is a great tune! Also The Alpacas. King Edwards & His B.D's track was also done by The Swingin' Medallions but that's LP only.
  8. There are loads more than people realise. There has been a thread on here about this before, several years ago and a lot of tunes came out of the woodwork. Obviously a couple of biggies are 'The Seven Dwarfs'and 'The Deadbeats'.
  9. Ah, thank you for the info.
  10. Came out on 'Vibraton' in the US.
  11. Official UK 45 release...
  12. Check out The Swingin' Medallions Lp containing a great Northern dancer M.T.Y.L.T.T. (More Than Yesterday Less Than Tomorrow).
  13. Yeah, sounds blue-eyed, especially the b-side.
  14. Seems OK to me at the moment. I'm using Chrome. Like you say, maybe it's Mac.
  15. Although Ann Sexton did get a UK release on 'Inferno' during 1979.
  16. BBC1 'This City Is Ours'.....oosh!
  17. I did read a few days ago that the Cellar in Charlotte has been severely damaged / destroyed by fire! Apologies if this has already been discussed.
  18. Thanks Mick. £450 in the end! Wow! I guess the yellow issue is rarer than the white demo (which I have).
  19. Sorry I'm a week late. Was the Tony Michaels a Golden World issue or demo?
  20. You missed 'Tommy Turner' 625
  21. Just finished 'Black Doves'. It was OK, full of action but a bit daft at times (ie: never any cops about even though the London streets were awash with shootings!). This is not a spoiler...I felt sorry for the little girl (Kiera Knightly's daughter) in the last episode, she got a Spurs shirt for Christmas (...and I'm a Spurs fan 😆).
  22. I was there, I remember thinking the same as you. It was a big sound in King's Lynn too for some reason! I guess it does have a nice bassy R&B Jazz mid-tempo beat to it.
  23. That's it thank you sir! I should have got that, it's in my collection! AGE....
  24. A mate asked me about a record. He only had the very beginning on a tape. The thing is I know it! I've forgotten what it is though? Female mid-tempo Northern Soul. Pretty sure it was on a Kent LP years ago too? Here's the first lines... "Boy I love you and you know it, I've tried so very hard to show it, everything I did, I did to make you smile, you've got me acting like a little child. Though you want her love, you can't forget my love..." Please put him...and me out of our misery! TIA.
