Goerge Wydell-funny Feeling
No point really mate, they look identical to the real one! I've had both and the only way to tell is the scratched number TRC 162.....boot has the number further apart from the letters (about an inch away).

Low Attendances At Latest Shopping Centre Dos
Obviously in Japan by the looks of him and the young girls walking past. I can't hear no sound though? What's the tune?

New Dance?
We used to do a similar thing to Willie Mitchell's 'The Champion' & 'Secret Home'. It's old fashioned stomping! Looks good with the right 'stomp stomp' beat though!

In It To Win It
Good boy Johnny! Personally I'd buy some big ticket items that I really desire, and have a nice D.J box....but with today's over inflated prices 16k won't go far. There are still some great 45s to be had at the cheaper end Johnny will be better off getting a collection of those together. Well done Johnny, and a nice bloke too...did you see the tears in his eyes when the other contestants fell by the wayside.

This One Will Bend Your Head
Doubt it, Barnaby's a female (aint she?). Anyway, de-to, agree with your list, thing is, these white artists injected a bit of Motown into their sets (cause' it was the 'in' thing). It's really pop but captured the Wigan crowd. Personally, I love Ray Merrell's effort!

Thought I'd Be The First To Ask
Anyone got a spare they wanna part with? Couldn't make it down there so need the 45 to add to the collection.

Northern Soul H Q Outside The Uk ?
Some people have already mentioned the 'younger' and more enthusiastic crowds in the rest of Europe (Spain & Germany spring to mind). I know the scene in the USA is also 'younger'. Just makes you think that the scene is gonna survive (when we're all gone) outside the UK . Was actually talking to a couple of record shop owners yesterday, they claim the youngsters biggest wants are heavy metal & prog rock....but they are not prepared to pay high prices. They also tell me that rock n' roll has died a death..... makes you think....

Soul Books
Not the same but a similar type of thing, I recently picked up 'Motown: The Golden Years' by Bill Dahl...it's a great book featuring all the Motown artists with great 60's photos. Back section is dedicated to the 'unknown' artists. There's a colour section with photos by Weldon A. McDougal III who many know as one of the 'Harthon' production team. He worked with Motown artists during the late 60's/early 70's. The one downside to it is the cover is awful (imo)...instead of using some stunning 60's pictures...they've opted for a few of McDougals (casual) 70's pics. If anyone's interested, the book is published by 'Krause Publications' (www.krause.com)
