  1. What about Kelly St.Clair?
  2. Mel may be on there but it won't be this one. It'll either be his version of 'Better Use Your Head' or the great '(You've Got) The Power Of Love'. BTW: I've just bought a copy of this oldie, pre Velvet Underground featuring Lou Reed and John Cale....
  3. I've done part of it and they are track 7
  4. To be honest, the original post was only intended to find out the ethnicity of the artists I listed but I got a good lot of info about other artists, many who I had heard of sure but some gems I didn't know. On reflection I should have changed the title to 'Are these artists white?', I guess the term Blue-eyed Soul is doing some of the artists a great favour as some of it is just 'pop' with a dancing beat and not Soul at all.
  5. Ambassadors on Pee Vee, a great group who deserve the 'Blue-eyed Soul' tag. Nabay was Indian/Asian I believe? Would he be considered on a list of blue-eyed soulsters? Let's not forget Thee Midniters, a Latino-American group who had a couple of brushes with Northern. Is there such a thing as 'Brown-eyed Soul'
  6. Presume you are talking about Nightwatch 'Lips To Your Heart' ? I remember it all over East Anglia in the early 1980's. Always presumed it was a Wigan oldie?
  7. Of course! and their 'Destined To Become A Loser'
  8. I have this German 'Superiors' 45, unfortunately I don't have a sleeve for it. Presuming there is a picture sleeve? Anyone able to supply a scan/photo?
  9. Must admit, Dl Thomas does look very much like the one on the left in the earlier picture? Could be the same group.
  10. Agree, the last 3 are great tracks (imo), Shirtails in my collection, with pic sleeve... other 2 a bit harder to obtain, of the many bands called The Traits, the lot you mentioned had Roy Head on lead vocals.
  11. Was this ever played out...Mod/NS nights anywhere? Of course we all know who he bacame
  12. Yeah, got Richie Adams 'I Can't Escape From You' already lined up
  13. What book is that from Mark? I have your 'It's Better To Cry' book but it's not in there.
  14. I'm pretty sure it will be full of stuff you already got Henning. I'll list what I put on it once it's complete ok, but yeah sure you'd be welcome to a copy.
  15. RE- Bob Marshall & The Crystals - Now that has surprised me! I have the 45 and did stack it ready for the CD (for personal use only btw). What about Chris Cerf - Sweet Music (Amy)? ..also, wasn't 'The Soul Communicaters 'Those Lonely Nights' a white group lead by Chuck Corby?
  16. Not 100% blue-eyed but thought I'd share this great photo of the Chuamonts!!!
  17. Yes, and one on Le Cam.....
  18. If you're talking about this one chalky, it does explain in the comments that they are using a photo of the British group. I would say, if they are referring to the picture below, with the high trousers and white socks it actually looks like a group of circa 1979/80 Mod revivalists.
  19. So, any of these? Cobblestone? Ben Zine? Paula Durante? The Jades (I'm Where It's At)? Dawn (Love Is A Magic Word) or the other Dawn (I Believe They're All Talking About Me)? William Bonny?
  20. The Poets!!! No way?? Are you getting mixed up with the British 'Poets' who were from Scotland?
  21. Little Richie - Just Another Heartache?
  22. Hmmm, no pics anywhere!
  23. Thanks Zanetti. That's one. Anymore?
  24. Just putting together a 'Blue-eyed Soul' compilation CD and was wondering whether I could include these Northern classics? I'm guessing they are white artists? Ronnie & Robyn Cobblestone? Ben Zine? Paula Durante? The Jades (I'm Where It's At)? Wombat? Living Color / Mystery ? Men (Thank The Lord For Love)? Dawn (Love Is A Magic Word) or the other Dawn (I Believe They're All Talking About Me)? William Bonny?
  25. I got an EX copy...£30
