  1. Not apparently, Van Morrison was definitely played. 'Cartoon Candy Carnival' has to be one of the strangest!
  2. I have that Buster 45 in my collection, great soul number. Mathis also did one called 'Come Back' which I know has had some plays on the Popcorn scene.
  3. Yeah, sorry I meant taking off 'again' I have his others too, all great records: 'Would You Do It For Me' (Tragar) 'Thank You Baby' (Josie)
  4. It's taking off!
  5. 27th July is the release date so a few days yet.

Might have an Ann Robinson but think it's an 'All Brothers' repro.
  7. Thought it was Marv Johnson that did 'Come On And Stop'? Edit: I'd buy it, but only if was cheap.
  8. Most by Chairmen Of The Board? Billy Ocean 'Love Really Hurts' I guess was played until it reached the hand baggers?
  9. I'd say that's a kosher one mate.
  10. Robert Plant 'I've Got A Secret' UK CBS (1967)
  11. Certainly beats taking a pile of them abroad with me, just take the laptop....happy days
  12. I'm surprised Charlie Pride never tampered with a bit of Soul.
  13. No worries mate, glad you're sorted.
  14. Yeah, 'tis true I'm afraid! Great name but I bet they look like the Bay City Rollers!
  15. EX+ (some would say mint). So £20 + £2 postage if your still interested? Paypal (gift/personal) no worries.
  16. Pretty sure I have a nice copy somewhere. If you're not sorted I will get back to you later as I got to go out today (all day) so perhaps find it tomorrow.
  17. Great thread! Fortunately I don't need to download any as I have the full set, 1 - 32. I started buying (subscribed) around issue 17 or so but found all the previous issues in a record shop in Norwich and bought the lot. I once took a whole load to Spain with me on holiday complete with notebook and pen so I could record anything interesting and make a list of records that sounded interesting and try to seek them out. I used to do this while the missus was sunning by the pool as I couldn't stand being in the sun all day! The knowledge learnt from them is priceless. In fact I will be getting them out again soon and have another read through them all as a lot of records have passed through my hands since the last time I read them and it will be interesting to compare notes and observations. One of (if not THE) best NS fanzines to exist.
  18. They are from my neck of the woods (East Anglia) and I was D.J at a local charity night with them a few years back. Seen them several times, they are top notch and definitely have some credibility about them. Like someone said earlier, one of the lads is Steve J's boy, a top local D.J.
  19. Do the issues finish at #32? That is the last copy I bought, was there an issue 33?
  20. Then of course there's Paul Nicholas (as 'Oscar') with 'Club Of Lights' on Reaction.
  21. Tarby had a release on 'Immediate' around '66 but it ain't Northern.
  22. The best tune by Anita and out and out Northern is 'Something Must Be Done' on Pye. 'London Life' is featured on a Marble Arch cheapo L.P as is 'Something Must Be Done'.
  23. That is what I always thought/heard.
