  17. On Saturday night at the Benn Hall i was asked on numerous occasions about the details regarding Max's funeral so for all that asked here you are. The funeral will be held at St Johns church Wolverhampton road (B4156) Essington on Wednesday 23rd June at 1pm, all friends are welcome, to be followed by a private ceremony at Bushbury Crematorium. The wake (never liked this term) celebration of Max's life will be held at the stables, Brookfield's after the church ceremony. See you all there to give Max the send off he so rightly deserves. Just a few words to keep everyone up to date with whats happening. As is the way at these times things take a while to sort out, i know everyone is wondering when the funeral will be, all i can say at the moment is please be patient everything is moving forward and the date will be shouted from the rooftops when confirmed so we can give Max the send off he deserves. One thing i would say is please keep the stories coming as the family are reading every one and i know its helping with with the healing process. Its at times like this that you realize how supportive this soul family of ours is. Ken & Claudette

Just about in the land of the living now, saw this Mr Wood & had to comment. When Max was selling his first collection me as a snot nosed kid wanted something out of his play box, to cut a long story short i purchased for the princely sum of £5 the white demo of Vala Regan he had played at the Cats complete with the insulation tape on the b side to hold a crack together. Many years later when Kojack Harveys collection came to Max for selling i helped him sort over the period of 5 nights the entire collection into whatever music genre it fell into, whilst doing this i came across a copy of the said record on British Atlantic and asked Max how much ? he inquired of Kojack a price and i ended up paying £8 at which Max pipes up thats the second copy i played now you have both, no i don't i says the other is going to John Pugh and as far as i know we still have them. All who know Max, He was rushed into hospital from Brookfields last night with heart problems and put into intensive care. I have spoken with Linda his wife this morning and it seems he was caught at the right time, and is being kept in for observation because his oxygen levels are low. In typical Max fashon he was worried about a booking he has today !!. I will be round his house tonight and will post up later how he is getting on as only family is allowed in intesive care. Im sure you will all want to wish him well and a speedy recovery. Ken & Claudette
