  1. the garu group is totally unrelated. the detroit volumes had many excellent records but may all time favorite is "gotta give her love"

copies turned up of this in the last year or two, I would discount any popsike prices before then. If I was trying to sell one I think I would ask $150.
  3. I was trying to post a link to his youtube account, not embed a video, but the stupid automedia thing changed it. either way, if you go to his account it's there.
  4. he does on his youtube account: I think he took all the tracks from other people's youtube postings (they used to have other people's associated video) which is sort of funny
  5. also lucky davis has a record as lucky jamal davis. this record is clearly him.
  6. I took off the extra zero, was wondering where you got 100,000. It's not important. I pretty much agree with what you are saying above.
  7. where do you get this number? I doubt there are 100,000 "northern soul" records a DJ can play.
  8. that nobles 45 is pretty hard as a stock copy with both sides, as you have up

in the top 3 greatest sweet soul records of all time

here is a link: https://www.acerecords.co.uk/content.php?page_id=59&release=7883 another awesome thing (for me) on the CD that is never explicitly mentioned is that there's totally an armenian soul group on it (higher feelings on kent). The photos and writing credits give it away...

volume 2 came out I think in 2009. There is a sick CD cover, a color photo of towanna and the total destruction dressed as a biker gang and riding choppers, it's awesome.

5002 was pressed twice actually, both copies read "the girl I need" but one of the pressings plays a different cut

it came out on jenges crediting the indelgents
  14. it's a lot of money for a flat piece of metal though. that guy has a nice looking oven btw.
  15. that isn't vinyl so it isn't acceptable for ovo venues
  16. I paid more for that CODs 15 years ago when I wasn't paying anything for 45s... some nice inexpensive tracks there
  17. I think aquarius is the first label for the ultimate ovation, just because all their other records came out on their ultimate 1999 label. I managed to collect the full discography 001-1008 of ultimate 1999, i posted it in another thread if you want to search for it.
  18. although I don't see anything pictured to respond to, just posting to let you know that this also got released as by the Original Bluebelles on the Rainbow
  19. domestic five soul in-pressions ultimate ovation calvin golden (this also comes with two label designs, both are a red label and not the colorful one, but it is the same label) and there is a pop record on the label that I can't remember what it is right now. I think that's all the titles but if there were more pop records I wouldn't know. also, I've been told this label has no connection to the detroit Saquarius label that purple snow is on.
  20. I think this is to protect themselves, not out of some arbitrary rule to prevent people from using their tracks. If they don't have a master in their official catalog it might not actually belong to them, it might belong to someone else.
  21. i'm guessing the vast majority of bootlegs are. do you disagree with that?
  22. just to be clear (thanks for actually giving a reason): the reason it's important to play originals is to keep people from hearing a record too much and getting tired of it?
  23. what is your opinion on originals vs. boots on youtube?
  24. I'm surprised this thread has gone on this long without anyone mentioning the Butlers on Gamble vs Rouser
