  2. that is 100% true and well known that he was in the backing band, jimmy mayes was also in the band
  3. i asked my friend who did the prix reissue to look at this thread
  4. miles grayson arranged the four sights record. isn't he LA?
  5. the people who are the most respected names in the soul world who aren't millionaires are people who like callum had their ears to the ground and were buying quality obscure sounds that were ignored by the masses in their genre while they were still around. there aren't unknown $5 northern records that sound like $1000 northern records just sitting in people's boxes anymore like you're making it out to be, that's why there's a price guide with 50,000 records listed in it. there are still undiscovered northern records but you can't just look anywhere and find them and everyone's struggling to find them and they won't be just a few bucks when they do turn up (usually on ebay with a sound clip).
  6. aren't you saying the same thing as me?
  7. that happens all the time, you find two copies of something at once, and they're often in similar condition. he probably didn't find both at separate times.
  8. a pretty big dj won the other copy too...
  9. i know, he must have put in at least 4010 now to ensure his win

  11. i love watching trashy euro videos like this. the only thing better are the italo disco performances.
  12. wouldn't this be more appropriate in sales?
  13. i don't think the seller understands the concept of "djing", he's selling a gospel record as a "northern soul rock ballad"
  14. plus it's a "northern soul rock ballad", not even a "northern soul ballad", and it's clearly just a gospel record
  15. clearly the seller does not know what "northern soul" means. what is your favorite "northern soul ballad"?
  16. was sitting in manship's site for 400 pounds for a long time... but then trashed copies on ebay seemed to go for like $300 i think so who knows
  17. no you didn't, it was ended early
  18. maybe worth more if known to UK people then? anyways, it's very rare. It was on ebay once at least (patrick staten sold it), didn't go super high but it's not really known.
  19. pretty rare, maybe $250-$300?
  20. same guy who did "7 minutes of funk" by the way

  22. Hi. Today on my radio show I interviewed Charles Russell, lead singer of the groups the Three Dudes, Four Dudes, Image, and New Image, who cut records in San Antonio, Houston, Philadelphia, and Los Angeles. Charles did an incredible interview about the amazing records he cut, including one of the greatest sweet soul records of all time, "My heart is broken": you can listen to the interview at the bottom of my interviews page at: https://www.sittingin...interviews.html thanks, Bob
  23. there's another scene where the soul children are performing in a lounge but they're just sort of in the background and it's not a whole performance
