  1. Yes but he does have 'reiss' in the description.
  2. And if it's the venue I'm thinking of they have a membership system. So no guarantees that membership will stop problems. But it would reduce them ino.
  3. Correct Mel. The second wave was only after the success of Quadrophenia. I can still smell Green Onions even now
  4. I think you might have got the wrong end of the stick here Ian. I read the 'bullshit" comment as a reference to all the sniping going on from your fave posters. And Leigh was effectively asking for the thread to get back on track. That was my take on the post anyway.
  5. Only if there from La La Land
  6. Is this a serious question The anwer is a most definite yes.
  7. Thanks Ian. Do you know if it's vinyl or styrene and the $64,000 question, the condition?
  8. Ian, Where exactly does it say in this thread it's a third copy? John M doesn't actually say that in his post. Cheers
  9. Well I'm still nowhere near convinced that a 3rd copy exists. John has not confirmed it is a 3 rd copy I can understand the confidentiality aspect to an extent, but a reply saying it is from a mainland European collector, USA, or anywhere other than the UK would clarify the situation. Just my guess but Kenny's effectively retiring, he has sold recently and if the price is right why should he keep DILY.
  10. Well as I was with the same group on Friday it's an easy question to answer. But even if I wasn't the reference to virgins and burger van gave it away. Rugby it is. But 2 more reasons to attend are 1) real friendly people and guaranteed a warm welcome. 2) A help your self to a few sweets selection on the main door when you arrive
  11. Hi Ed, Was head of Motown quality department in the 60's. Presumably at the time during which DILY was recorded.

The Government make money on that.......... Just another example of double standards.
  14. Tabs replied to Pete S's topic in Look At Your Box
    Looks identical to the original.
  15. Sure some will remember this....... Stop.mp3
  16. But thats not a Northern night. Soul appreciation yes but Northern no.
  17. Most of the Banbury crew went for a swim after the Casino. Then rounds of toast in the cafe after that
  18. Name it and claim it has given people a lot of pleasure over a very long time. People are paying their respects on a job well done No need to feel overwhelmed or embarrassed. As some one has already said its an honour when the original artist posts on here. And I'm sure people will want to hear the unreleased title. Welcome aboard.
  19. Over 300 unique events in the next 12 months. And that's just those advertising on SS events forum.
  20. Thanks for the reply. Was the mafia connection solely to do with the FW single? I know that Tom was the Motown historian who lent SS the library copy.
  21. Hi Ian, Seem to recollect something about this in the old memory bank. Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't this to do with ripping off a doo wop collector or similar. Feel sure it has a doo wop connection. Thanks
  22. You missed the point I was making. But I guess I should expect that from a Pikey If this was being played as a new discovery now then its effect would be the same as it was 30 years ago. It got you into the scene........... perhaps it has got it's bad points after all See you at Rugby and when you buy me a pint we can debate further
  23. In a nutshell. Overplayed without a doubt but at the time this was quite simply outstanding. I'll pose another question. If this had only been played out in the last 6 months as a c/u by the likes of Butch or Sam would the detractors have the same opinion. I doubt it, they would be creaming there jeans and every time they heard it. Guess which way I voted.
