Hi,"ALL MY GOOD LOVIN"/ "ELEVATOR SONG" on Pzazz by the legend LEN JEWELL. Think i'm right in saying the re-issue has the long run-out? Moulded label?.Scratched matrix?.Can't be a "boot",,the labels too complex? How about the original? info please guys!!! Also "ELEVATOR SONG",anyone else like this toon?.Has it been played out much? i'd photo copy it Steve onto similar paper then pass it off as an original. Or leave it off and call it an acetate.New cover up? Hope this helps.

some of that list looks like your shopping list Steve. . Didn't know there was a split in the scene. . Music genres inevitably have "titles".Love what you love,don't get too confused if you find yourself liking another genre. As Bazza says,its been a mixed bag since he was in short trousers. But there's plenty of venues now if you need to "avoid" certain genres. Hey i love football,but don't expect all fans to support who i support. Bazza,supose we'll be seeing you at modern nites if the tag don't matter .

hi Barry,yes i think the scene should be run by a central office,by an appointed council. That would stop interfering busy bodies finding and playing toons that are not approved. tongue firmly in cheek,tin hat on.

Hi Barry,think i know what your'e gettin at. Yeah ,Northern Soul was coined at the "time", by DG, but only people who are not connected at all with the scene would have a problem understanding the sub -genres that have emerged. Spoke to a "collector" of brit soul recently who stopped going anywhere when the WHEEL closed.His take on Northern.....strings, a dance beat,and the word BABY in the lyrics!!.Anything else he doesn't get!!. The term Northern maybe sounds dated,but if you want to "move on",were does that leave the Mods?,Rnb,etc?. Its just a convenient name that covers a multitude of sins. Unless you run a Crossover nite,or RnB,or Mod,or Classic,or Club,or Modern,or Upfront......................................................... btw,would have thought the punk bands of now in the States would like to be called Punks?.Very Retro. to each their own
