  1. No Bri. have now - very nice. That's worth a few plays.
  2. Another musical legend departs. Sad news indeed.
  3. Some nice stuff on that list again Neil - I'll certainly be taking a listen. Best to you and Nikki - and keep going I've picked up some great new listens from you and your stuff recently. Peter
  4. Can't say I've ever noticed that - playing it now. Just a vocal break to showcase the musicians - pretty typical of lots of stuff innit? I think it's a cracking soul record.
  5. Very nice Martyn. This baby needs some volume.
  6. i assumed he'd already done that - should never assume. It's still out of order though.
  7. Don't the know the full story but if that's what has happened it's a pretty pathetic, spineless way to go about things - in my humble opinion of course. In fact it's so childish it's unbelievable. They could have just thanked you and said their bit surely - obviously not. Peter
  8. Sorry - just seen Tony's thread. I'll try and lock this. Apologies if someone already posted but. I suspect it's of interest and sadness to some people that Brian Selby the founder of selectadisc in Nottingham has passed away. I didn't know him personally but did know one of the old partners - I think there was a falling out at some point. Anyway, important shop at one point. Here's a link to our local rag. https://www.thisisnot...tail/story.html Peter
  9. Nowt wrong wi choking on it Dave - just don't spit the bastard out.
  10. That's not great but I've heard plenty of stuff worse than that over the years.
  11. So, then, name us a good TS track and we can judge ourselves.
  12. Thanks everyone. Yep, I don't like it. And is this part of our scene now - or is it that our scene has become a part of this scene - with all the european stuff and all that.
  13. That made me laugh anyway! Nice shoes by the way.
  14. What the fook is a tiity shaker? Seen this descriptor being used more and more. Anyone? I have to say I don't like it mesen.
  15. You lot know loads of stuff!
  16. Awesome fecking indeed! Nice one. Peter
  17. Thanks Dave Both versions are good - I think Bully played the Maxine Brown version. Peter
  18. Cheers Alan. Never heard it before - cracking tune. Peter
  19. Hi Everyone I downloaded all the podcasts from Neil and Nikki's Monumental Weekender a while back - absolutely cracking all of them. Anyway, on Bully and Tats' first hour Bully played a track called Everything Will Be Allright. He introduced it as being "Randy" - not sure if that was the name of the artist or he just meant to say it was good! It's a cracking tune - female artist, and some would probably call it crossover. I'd call it a fecking good soul record. Anyone know what it is? Thanks Peter
  20. Bloody hell - this is good.
  21. I'm genuinely saddened to hear that.
