  1. The Guy and Keb ones will be interesting. I have to confess that I never really learnt to appreciate the "60's newies" offerings of the pair - in fact I despaired at them, really didn't like them at all. I guess there might be room for some debate there - although I'm pretty certain that we have done that one before. Interesting to hear some views though. I had a bad name for both Guy and Keb at the time - influenced by my take on their playlists.

  9. I was going to ask the same question Rob - but you have made the point with far more background knowledge. I listened to both tracks and just thought that's not the same geezer!
  10. Phyliss Hyman - I've fallen in love with her voice many many times. It was sad that she died so young.
  11. That's a nice bit of soul music. Don't think I've heard it before but it hits the spot for sure. Not sure about the last post - are you saying it's a boot? And as Shute asked - is it well known?
  12. ok mate thanks. It's a quality set you've put up.

  17. Good evening Sean I hope you and yours are well. I do actually recall the Eloise Laws track you mention - but only vaguely and only now you mention it. I can't believe that If I Don't Watch Out seems to have passed me by! Peter
  18. Thanks buddy I'll get on tinternet.
  19. Hi Steve Don't know much about Eloise Laws - apart from her "Love Factory" outing really. As I said I wasn't even aware of this take of "I Better Watch Out". She has a very pleasing voice - as she done much else? Thanks Peter
  20. Hi Melismo Just back on the site after a prolonged absence and checking out some of your podcasts. Great stuff thanks. I have a lot of catching up to do! Peter
  21. Thanks Pete. I've been a big modern fan since the final days of Wigan etc and for the life of me cannot remember this. I still like it.
  22. Yep, there's some nice stuff on there. Eloise Laws, If I don't watch out - the first tack on one of the podcasts. Happy go lucky, pretty voice. Prefer this to GO.
