  5. This Is a real sore point record for me as I had a mint copy that probabley came out of a Soul Bowl pack and the label had an air bubble and didnt sit quite right on the styrene I let myself believe it wasnt real and sold it for £2 hence it really is a sore point no matter what they cost you like to get somewhere near their worth. Gutted!! Dont make the same mistake Pete I have felt sick for years Atb John.

Sorry To Hear This! The Problem With Ebay These Days Is That They Are Trying To Protect The Buyer Far To Much And Leaving The Sellers Open To The Rip Off Merchants Out There. This Seems To Be A Regular Occurence But As Someone Has Rightly Stated If you Paid Paypal Via A Credit Card If You Refuse To Pay On The Grounds Of Item Not Received Your card Company will Draw Back Your Money And Credit It Back To Your Card!! Good Luck Atb John.

  18. Hi, As a kid I lived in Reddish (twice) and the second time I was 12 when we moved ! I used to buy stuff on Oriole records and later Stateside Etc from a television shop called Englands near Reddish square! I can remember looking through the amber coloured film blinds they used to pull down on a Wednesday (their half day) after school looking at the new release's they used to hang down the window in plastic sleeves!! could you imagine the joy to find something like that these days!! Euphoria!! Atb John
  19. Hi Jim, That sounds about right a while back we were talking about this same subject and the name we came up with for the shop was talk of the town so we have obviously mixed it up with the club name! mind you it was 43 years ago so I guess the old grey matter is still functioning Ok. Atb John.
  20. Hi Jim, Could have been one of the places we use to visit then! The place that comes to mind was just a few shops in on the left hand side as you came from Ralphs shop direction across Deansgate it was like going down 3 to 5 steps to someones cellar but used to get bits of british stuff there, Then back to the car and up to One Stop Records that as I remember was a new build shop on the front of piccadilly railway station! Remember getting a good swop one Saturday on a copy of Baby Help Me On British Red Atlantic that I had picked up only hours earlier at Blackburn record exchange the owner Dave saved me 2 copies kept one and dealt the other in the One Stop with some guy in there with the old woolies 50 box, Big tune at the time!! Happy Days!! Atb John.
  21. Hi Jim, I am talking circa 1967/8 I don't think OOTP had even entered S.S's head by then so I don't think it would be barry's shop! But thanks anyway for the Info! Atb John
