Soul life started in Wilmslow in Cheshire, moved up to Scotland in 1972 and married Maureen in 1974.
Both big Soul fans, Maureen does all the dancing and I promote and Dj.
Did all the early things in Scotland such as Clouds (Edinburgh), Tiffanys (Edinburgh), Marriat Hall (Dundee), Maniqui (Falkirk), Allanton (Shotts), East of Scotland Soul Club (Edinburgh), these days mainly stay in Scotland with the occasional venture down south to weekenders such as Blackpool, Whitby.
