i,ve got 2 copys of this brill toon. one has a really bright yellow label, while the second copy has a more orange/yellow colour. everything else is the same ie label number, run out numbers ect. any one any idea why ?

yes kev we got one, never had a single post when put up, just a pm off butch, which i bought.

i remember queuing up at the front of the old ticket office in a mass of folks to buy a handfull of o.f.t.p boots, and being asked at least 4 times by older dodgy looking blokes if i had any "dope man", must have looked like a hippy or something.at the time it seemed all very exciting,and although yes it was looking back crap it added fuel to something that has been with me all my life.so for that i'm grateful to the INTERNATIONAL SOUL CLUB.

the pretenders has been getting plays in the north west for a while now, thanks to a group of collective dj,s, who have a hell of a good ear for toons. nice to see it available. really is a dancers delight.excellent side.

cressy, i reckon this is alot harder than folks think. i was after one for a good year & abit, with out seeing one.after getting a copy just over ayear ago i ain't seen another copy. either listed or in sales boxes, and thats alot of sales boxes. great record that will have its time in the sun again.still very fresh sounding. good luck in your quest fella.

my take on this is living in skegness we have to travel to hear music that is more upfront than can hear locally.if this means 7 hour round trip to soul nites at say the greatstone or 3 greyhounds then it must be done. was over the moon when thorne started again because at under 2 hours away feels local, the same can be said of the britt. would'nt travel to a soul night that i thought had nothing to offer musically. will do soul nites when dj's guesting that i know will put together great sets of music.always try & support certain dj's who i've got the upmost respect for, the ripolles bros, arther fenn,steve green, chic, the greatstone collective spring to mind.all play toons they believe in & play with a passion.but as for normal soul nites, playing same old,same old not for me.some great niters to go to at the moment .seems to me the niter crowd i meet at say, middleton, wilton, lifeline ect are not the same crowd you see at soul nites, & by the same token i dont seem to see many of the people i know who do soul nites at niters. its all down to what sort of music you need to hear.
