  1. only enough the amout you have entered already isn't enough then you get that message.
  2. the point is you are not the high bidder because your bid isn't one increment higher than existing highest so it doesn't register as a bid you get told to bid mreo than a given amount which is one increment more than current highest. I always bid random amounts with uneven numbers and a few pence but I don't think it helps much realy. I never bid exactly 10, 20 or 30 quid.
  3. on third scenario here is when you get the message saying you need to increase your bid to be higher than 1 bid increment over the winning bidder.
  4. i've done international bank transfers (IBAN ?) but never to USA only other european countries. I had to phone up my bank and get some kind of reference number and there were small fees but it was hassle free and fast.

  7. what a great record man in the street is essential soul music.
  8. we've all done it. but it doesn't stop us.............
  9. all good with heinsight if we knew which of our 10GBP buys were goign to shoot up ion value we'd all be rich. how many 10GBOP records from 10-20 years ago are still worth the tenner they cost. Probably most. I can't think of a huge amount of my 10GBP buys (in fact hardly any) that are now worth 300GBP.

so are there 2 releases on red coach with 2 different different flips or is it just the steppin closer track with a different title ?
  11. ebay is king here. set sale is 2nd option as I usually find I have to pay mroe goign down this route. nice to see others agreed on my 10 year old valuation on harvey averne. 300 for that time did seem very high to me.
  12. is there any connection with this artist and judy stokes ?
  13. thats interesting to know........
  14. I noticed on another thread you mentioend the tim brown copy that sold for 200GBP. Now thats a great deal for who ever got it. Wonder if it wqill be going up on ebay for a fast profit. But worth pointing out its no where near as good a deal as the Betty Wright "My lucky" that he sold on the previous list for 100GBP. That never comes up for sale and seems very rare.
  15. if I was stinking rich and money were no object i could give the fooker away
  16. this has reached overplayed status a logn time ago. It was getting played virtually everywhere about 12 years ago. And no doubt that was a revival for it as well from a time when it was previosuly a big record. its good but £150-200 is a realistic price. The people who spend big big money on these records need there heads testing unless they are stinking rich and money is no object.
  17. tims list is always worth a good look through. You have to be quick though............

original list updated with sold items still lots of bargains left.
  19. all fair points. but as I said the same records that were in the box at a venue were listed on here so the whats in the box comment is no longer an issue for my example. 4 sold quickly virtually and none sold in a venue. I was in the same place as all the otehr sellers which was a run of tables in the back room at stoke. chalky yiou are right the lifeline record bar is good and ideallly located so you can still hear the music of the venue. Baught a few cheaper bits on my last visit but didn't bring a sales / trade box myself. Will do next time I visit
  20. Just curiosu on this. I took a small sales box to kings hall last week. About 4 people looked and all I did was 1 trade. typed up 80% the contents of that sales box on here and within 6 hours 4 had sold and also got enquiries on a couple more. So is it worth taking sales to venues or just do it on the net. In an ideal world I would much prefer face to face transactions but it seems that it is a thing of the past.
