  1. someones gonna get a bargain
  2. the vocal on the deep side is quite good but the backing track is a bit generic. Didn't blow me away but i'd buy a copy if it were cheap.
  3. not if the questions are anything to go by............ snipes will be set.
  4. december was a nightmare for post I guess this is the tail end of the backlog. I was stressing out over a couple of purchases but they did arrive eventually !!!
  5. Quite right. I had a couple of cracking bargains at last lifeline. but I do like buying on in ternet you can relax i your own home and listen to mp3s if you don't know stuff. Listening on headphones in venues is very difficult so I tend to go for things I already know or artists I know deliver. i'm sure that freddie scott is a good double sider going from memory ? its stuck away in an old box somewhere.......

I'm assuming it will be belt drive.
  8. its certainly not the typical hi sound I associate with willie mitchell but I like the ballad side "if you haven't got love"

same here tommy I paid $10 for mine. far better when these records are ignored cheapies that peolpe don';t talk about and push the price up.

I assume robert thomas on venture has already had its time as a fairly well known dancefloor filler ? a couple of copies just gone through ebay relatively cheap and the deep soul flip is incredible. banny price "monkey see monkey do" would be my tip for an instrumental that could have some success. It sounds awesome to me. nice to see roy roberts on linco being tipped now i've sold mine
  11. he's in the UK somebody might know him ? everybody has to start somewhere on ebay. I just sold to a zero feedback buyer and he paid no problems.
  12. 4 and a half on tuska steve.
  13. I completely missed the one on note. That is a new record to me i've never heard it or heard of it. I was under a self imposed record ban for most of last year due to excessive child care fees but i'm watching ebay a bit again now.
  14. "innocent bystander" is bloody great as well but I can't remember the label I had the shout 45 but it just didn;t have the killer edge for me it lacked something ? the tuskas are fantastic that must be one of the great small labels.

I paid about $6 on ebay in 2009 so it didn;t have much demand then.
  16. those radio shows were responsible for breaking so many tunes. They were awesome. but this wasn't one of the better ones its average at best. B Young and J Hill "its got soul" now thats a record

i'm through with you just about shuiffles along at x-over pace. A brilliant double sider and well worth a mention. His best record ? my contribution for this thread and my best buy in 2010 has to be ray quarles "its gonna be all over" faces and david dee on time about that got some time in the spotlight as a semi known 60s. Proper northern IMO.
  20. i've never seen a background that hideous it sent my eyes funny

  23. can get the ball rolling with marilyn barbarin. Thats the only 1 I know......
  24. not sure ? there is a legitimate recent eissue with another of their in demand sides on the flip side. At lease I think its a legitimate reissue ? the OG has a small virtue stamp in run out.
  25. my favourite new discovery to me in 2010 has to be the brilliant x-over by ray quarles "its gonna be all over" I had an ebay copy saved and continually listened to the short clip for the 5 or 6 days the acution was running and was hoping to win that copy. in the end I got significatntly outbid but was ale to locate another copy and when it finally arrived it sounds absolutely fantastic. Evene better than the clip suggested. all time records to me are things like fred briggs "sound off" that has never left my all time top 5. But after hearing somethign this good it makes me far more critical of the not quite and nearly records.
