Exodus was played at the Casino, and another of his tracks "Northern Soul Dancer" was defo tailor made to try and cash in on the scene.

Think you miss read the thread it's about tailor made northern soul records you either like or most probably don't, all the above records are 1960's records way before the northern soul scene, so defo not tailor mades.

Can't remember, but it would most probably have been a Motown track, Baby Love, Jimmy Mack, I can't help myself, Get Ready or similar.

Nosmo King wasn't a tailor made, it's was re-issued as the Javells because it was picked up by the northern scene. IL earlier releases by Doris Jones & Evelyn Thomas were aimed at the northern scene, but Barbara Pennington's 24hrs was aimed at the New York Disco scene, IL had moved on with his aims by the time this was released.

Have to agree on Ruby Andrews great record, just don't want to hear it for a long time, same can be said about "Run For Cover" how can you not like a Dells Track, but it's time RFC was put away for a fair few years.

Don't know what the fuss was about here, if you looked properly at the scan it clearly states JAZZMAN records on the label.

Vinyl if it's done right it becomes an instant collectors item and as original format it's still the hardest format to bootleg.

The 7" must be totally different from the 12" because that's crap.

Surely it's the DJ who determines the fee, some guys/gals do it for nothing, some guys/gals have their own fees it's down to the promoter to decide whether to accept the service of the DJ on that basis.

Did it come out as a 7" edit, not come across one, only 12" but I hope it's better version as a 7" edit than the 12, which pales against the Dells IMO.

Perhaps you should have put a time stamp on it last 6mths or last 12mths for instance, even some of the latest discoveries get up your nose if you hear them too often.
