Monday 4pm September 1980: I'm on the top deck, front seat, of the School Bus home (512), one cig left in me packet as Baz Hawkins had scammed the other outta me outside T Block and am wondering whether to have it now or after me tea. The double decker is meandering it's way from Culcheth, the tops of the tree's twatting the windows as they do - it's sunny. We arrive in Croft and as that lot get off the bus at The Horseshoe, I get me tape recorder out me satchel. I'd been to Wigan (Casino) the Saturday just gone and had C90d Searlings set but not played the recording yet. I think 'Fuck it!' and spark me fag up just as I hit PLAY on me little hand held Sony recorder... ....and this comes out the speaker...Happy Days!!
Well, I mailed the company I bought the record from asking for a pic of the crushed record - I know, I was just being pig-headed - and got this reply: Who told you the record had been crushed? Can you send me the email? Curious!?
I'm not desperate for it but at that price delivered it was a no brainer - I've asked em for a photo of the 'crushed' record though
...picked a copy up for £6.08 last week from Europe supposedly delivered. Just recieved a mail telling me that their packing machine crushed my order Anyone else had that excuse?
I've had a few which should have had AF on 'em.
