Sheffield Radio Soul Show
On me way to pick the missus up about 8pm last night and I was trying to get the footie on the radio and happened across a Soul show on Radio Sheffield presented by Steve White. A very enjoyable show it was and some good interviews etc, the lad who put Samantha's on was good listening. Will be tuning in next week.

Pub Juke Boxes
The Blue Lion in Newton Le Willows up here has had a similar updated Jukey (computer touch screen affair) with a similar odd amount of oddball soul n stuff on it. The funny thing is some of the scans that come up have been lopped straight off Ebay as they are boots, re-isssues.

How many Northern records do you see up for sale at say, £30 to £70 that consistently sell for one third that. Soul Brothers Six, Ace Spectrum, Mel Britt (kiddin' ) but you get what I mean. Do dealers consistently get the inflated 'book' prices that you see records up for time and time again, making it worth their while utilising this practise or have we become a nation of Souk hagglers, whereby we ask the highest price we can get away with and haggle down.- How Much For I Hate Hate By Razzy?
I thank you.- How Much For I Hate Hate By Razzy?
Is it not a cover of the Razzy Bailey Gareth?- How Much For I Hate Hate By Razzy?

Mickey Davey from Leigh, a mate of Wayne Hacketts' (M's regular) has someof the best (100's) of black and whites of The Casino that I have seen. If I remember his mate Paul, a keen amateur photographer with a good camera, took them over the course of one of the Anniversaries. I have a few of them, just crowd shots with me in them but there are some seriously quality shots of Vernon mid spin and varying dancing competition shots, some fantastic M's shots, off guard groups etc - they show a busy Wigan at it's height in all it's majesty. I've tried many times over the years to meet up with Mickey and get them catalogued but I've never managed to get me, him and the photo's in the same place. I got a call last week regarding Mickey, so I'll try and chase him and them up.- Another King Moses ( Thats 4 Now.. Hey Steve ?)
I'm of that persuasion too. Don't get me wrong it's a very nice track but it drops into that Luckey Jamal Davis - 'Vacate' category...it's just 'nice'. I wouldn't swap some of my (waaaay) cheaper tracks for it if I'm honest.- Collecting British...why Bother?
I know I'm the last to talk but it's getting a bit silly now chaps.- Collecting British...why Bother?
Keep it light mate, that's the way - I can feel a touch of the pack mentality coming on.- Collecting British...why Bother?
