I've got it somewhere on a UK, but can't find it Wasn't it the B side to "Heard It Through The Grapevine"? If it was that might explain why it got played on the Chartshow? Great record

What's The Best Marvin Gaye Single?
So many classics from the great man but for me there's got to be two - "Little Darling" and "Aint That Peculiar"

Unexpectedly Good B Sides
Prime example for me being "Goodbye Love We're Through" b side of "Tom The Peeper" Disco/Funk classic by Act One (UK Mercury, or US Spring (I think)). Great piece of 70's soul music Took me 35 years to discover that

Unexpectedly Good B Sides

You Don't Just Dance,
Totally agree with you Dave. Very well written article even if the analysis of the style of dancing is a little on the scientific side.

Cheap As Chips
I'd definitely go with The Parliaments - awseome cheapie

Bunny Sigler
Parkway 6001 Anybody got one for sale? Demo preferred but will settle for issue. Gotta be at least VG+!

Souled Out
Yes, I agree, but isn't the point with this film that it's been made to appeal to the mainstream (i.e. "civilians" )! Had it been made from the heart and soul and with passion probably the only people it would have appealed to would have been us lot on here

What's The Best Soul Night In London At The Mo?
Membership no longer needed to gain entry (unfortunately)

R And B
Simsy, you're spot on mate (imho) To me Soul is, well, soulfull (if you know what I mean) R&B - earlier type of soul sound, with a harder edge? Does that make sense? Probably not!

What's The Best Soul Night In London At The Mo?
Welcome to SS Dannyl The Dome in it's heyday will be remembered as a top notch. Heard lot's of new stuff there! The three London venues I frequent tend to be: Solid Hit Soul - Quality underplayed rare soul, very 6t's orientated The 100 Club - Well what can you say, almost 30 years on still one of the country's top NS nights, only top quality DJ's Towerfull of Soul - Downstairs River Bar (same as These Old Shoes was) - across the board, something for everybody Have a look at events page, for other nights. Hope this helps

Temptations, That Will Be The Day
Absolutely +1! Shorty Long "Baby Come Back To Me" is a proper dance record. Why oh why did top notch stuff like this and The Temps never get issued on 45

Four Tops And Temptations Tour
They're on at the o2 arena in March, with the Three Degrees & The Drifters. Wife's birthday in March so thought I might treat her Anyone know who's in the line ups for each of the groups now, or are they really just watered down tribute acts compared to what was the real deal? Alternative would be to take her to see the stageshow "Dancing In The Streets", which I presume is actors/singers singing the songs? Anyone seen this show and if so is it recommended?

Modern Anthems
Jeff Perry - "Love Don't Come No Stronger Than Yours And Mine" Norman Connors - "Take It To The Limit"

Thank You The Temptations
Rick, That's a great film. Got it on DVD last year (very cheap) and watched it loads of times. Temptations were just the DB's Don't want to appear picky but "Change Your Ways" was by Willie Kendrick. Don't think there is any connection with Eddie but I have been known to be wrong before?

Tracks That Just Make People Smile
TTP - Massive tune on holiday in Majorca in '74 Anyone who's got this on Spring, or Mercury (UK), and never flipped it over "Goodbye Love (We're Through)" great soulfull song, completely different to "TTP" . Had this 35 years and can't remember ever having listened to the flip. Just goes to show you should always give both sides a spin!

Willie Mitchell
R.I.P. Willie and thanks for giving us two of my all time favourites "The Champion" and "That Driving Beat" - proper old school northern stompers or what?
-
Intruders - "all The Time"
