Andy, thanks for the info. I cant find any e-mails although my Paypal account shows a payment of £26.20 to Detour Mail Order on the 28th October last year. I guess it must be that. Thanks Steve

lou pride LAST BASTION RECORDS
Hi, anyone have any information as to the source of this 45. I’m sure I ordered two or three copies months ago with payment undoubtedly by PayPal. Trouble is I can’t remember how much or who it was to and until I know the suppliers name I’m unable to find it on payment history. Thanks in advance Steve

Heard back from Andy, it's a white demo he has unfortunately

Rarest Stock Copy
I've a feeling that Andy Lewis' (as in Paul Weller guitarist) copy is a stocker. Don't think he's on here but I'll drop him a message

Rarest Stock Copy
That Charles Brandy used to be mine and is certainly a rare one. I bought it off Dave Knight from York in the 80's as part of a deal with The Cashmeres, Lynne Vernado and a couple of other things for £100 all in. I sold it a few years ago for £4500. Shame about the sticker mark as the playing surface (both sides) were pretty much mint. The flip has to be one of the most heart wrenching ballads of all time.

That would stack up. The one I sold him was near mint and came from John at the Bowl. I moved to Huddersfield in '93 and sold quite a few bits to Pat around 94/95

Might have been my old copy as I sold the Agents to Pat along with other goodies. The whole deal must have looked a bit dodgy as went met in an underground car park in Leeds with him holding a wad of cash and me rifling through 45's stashed in my boot.

Tony Christie - Nobody in the world
The cheaper way to own it is on the CD single with the instrumental and also "Concrete and Clay". The 45 is £50 - £60 realistically nowadays

- Preston Peters - Did We Ever Find Out ?
Could someone briefly remind me of the story / outcome. I have the 45 labelled "You can't measure your love" which plays "Don't do nothin" Cheers Steve- Manship’s copy of Cecil Washington on Prophonics
There were actually three Prophonic Studios. The first was upstairs in an office, it was then moved downstairs within the same building. The whole outfit was then moved to another building which was eventually trashed after the "source of this info" became disillusioned with the whole music scene. I have photo's and will endeavour to post them up when I get a free moment (at work at the moment)- Manship’s copy of Cecil Washington on Prophonics
John Anderson left a 100 count box in Texas (unsure of the reason why) but it was pressed, released and distributed in quantity throughout the States- Manship’s copy of Cecil Washington on Prophonics
USA Records used Prophonic Studios for mastering etc and the two had quite a distribution deal (along with other labels), hence Prophonic releases ending up all over the States. Have a look at other USA releases and you will be surprised.- Manship’s copy of Cecil Washington on Prophonics
Absolutely.... nuff said - Preston Peters - Did We Ever Find Out ?
