Have been involved with Padiham from the start, it's a remarkable event, from the years when Ian G. rip was a resident, the floods,nee dancefloor,fully sprung, it's a night of unashamed Northern banging soul. This one we have Roman( Winter Gardens, Tower, Dunkenhalgh, Colne Muni, Rolls Barnoldswick) Richard Lodge,, (Wardrobe Leeds, Keighley OK soul club Hamburg) Paul Eatough, top Lancs DJ. Peter Hart and special guest William Billy Backdrop Cudworth, a Padiham favourite. Always busy. Great room no nonsense big night.
  2. 24th anniversary, Colne Muni, fabulous Edwardian hall with sprung dance floor and balcony in use. Large separate bar area. To celebrate we have the original Soul at the Ooze Barnoldswick djs, Roman,Mike Kemp and Richard Lodge, club classics to todays top tunes,theres a reason its lasted so long!!!

  4. What to say about this incredible venue, the dance floor is sublime, the decor a work of art, I'm happy to have been asked to join the roster of djs at this event, Roman.

Held at the original venue of the 7ts Soul Satisfaction Society we are pleased to have as our guests the original DJs/ organisers Geoff Salter, David Jackson and Stewart Shaw whilst the final member Antiques roadshow Eric Knowles is also invited, we have original members coming from London (Dick Mouse and pals) early arrival is strongly recommended.

A medium sized club with a friendly intimate atmosphere with real ales at cheap prices,5 mns from Manchester rd. Rail Station.

  11. Long running soul night at this famous Edwardian venue,home of the Great British Blues Festival. Large sprung dancefloor, 3 sided balcony,large car park. Stage has seen Edwin Starr, Bobby Blue Bland, Irma Thomas,Syl Johnson,Ike Turner, Chris Farlowe,Georgie Fame and Muscle Shoals Booker T,Sam Moore and Steve Cropper,place certainly has a soul background. This Classic soul night starts with a look at the early British soul scene,The Wheel, Birdtrap,Roseroom with Motown/Stax and club classics then favourites from Wigan,Blackpool Mecca,Torch and the today's big soul sounds ovo, It's worked for 22 years.
  12. 22 years ago Pete would come to our club in Barnoldswick the "Ooze" helping with our charity alldayers and nights,we loved him and will miss him, Roman and Wendy.

Very sad to hear about Paul,another gentleman and character lost,fond memories of meeting Paul at the Albany in Heywood some 20 years ago on a Sunday night,when would you believe ,there was'nt much on,after that it was the Ritz niters, Bury Town Hall and Keirby Hotel,and as everyone says we knew we were in for a good night when Paul arrived,spun for fun,commiserations to Carole and family, Roman and Wendy

  20. A Barnoldswick tune for me about 7 years ago, coincidently i played it at Salmesbury and Greenlands this week, first time for a while, great tune, ashamed to say i dont remember playing B side, will spin it tonight, have it on canyon and maple, dont think it was booted, Roman
