  1. Can confirm that the 45 is the studio cut and NOT the live version you seek, which is only available on the Lp as mentioned somewhere above. Great track by the way, not spub since the glory days at 'The Cellar Club' in Letchworth in the late 80's!!!
  2. TheBigO commented on jonbuck's comment on a gallery image in Albums 1997-2007
  3. Pretty certain it is an acetate only, have the full version on a tape somewhere from years ago along with a load of new discoveries, as was then. Will dig it out and see if I made any more notes on the cover (as i am prone to do when I get more info on things)
  4. No, defo the £500 mark. Saw one go last year for that and, as said, its no longer the £750 toon it once was. Mind you still a great 45 and always been on my Wants.
  5. Is it true that sadies been cast to play you Mischief? Now theres a whole new thread in the making..............
  6. Winnie, if there is a film being made you and I dont qualify as dancers for the film as we are far too old and, more importantly, can you imagine how over budget it will be if your in it and they have to stop every time you do a shirt change!!!!!! LOL
  7. Super record, also reissued in the States along with 'Paradise'. By the way, this is the group better known as Jewel of 'Paradise' fame.

  9. Why am i not surprised!!!!! I think I have this on their LP but cant get access to bulk of collection at the moment as too much shite piled infront of it whilst house being remodelled!!! Great toon.
  10. I bow to Steve G's obvious superior knowledge on this subject. The ebay ones went for, i think, $1200, there was also another on ebay from the same label that went for the same money at the same time, cant remember who though!
  11. There has been a couple on eBay in the past 12 months, went for a lot LOT less. Is it me or are people buying Modern because they think its the next big money area????? Oh , and I failed to get the eBay ones!!!!!

Super record and super rare as I've been after it since Rod Dearlove put it on a tape in the early 80's for me!!! Even with a crack it will fetch silly money at auction methinks Pete, but if you are worried I can take it off your hands for a tenner

Ah that brings back memories! When we were low on the waistline and high on the hair line!!! The moves don't come as easy these days but do like to strut my stuff still, however not often i let the Russian Rolls go at events now!!! Good to see Keb still working the floor -bastard! lol
  17. Haven't seen it for sale for donks! Last time did was some 15 years ago and then it was £20, mind you it was around the same time as most of us around here brought Timeless legend,Storm etc from Soul Bowl for £6 a piece so don't go by that price!!!!!!! UPDATE: Craig Morer had it for $90 August last year according to my badly filed notes!!!
  18. Can i just point out another Danny Williams track (think same guy) on Ensign, his version of the Razzy hands-in-the-air happyclappy anthem 'I Hate Hate'. TOOOOOON!
  19. Hi Gavin, I think the Big Man and lover of Air guitar is playing at the Ritz Deesborough(?) - so at least we now know where to avoid him!!!! LOL
  20. Can I just point out that Bobby Vee went to school with my dad and is a good friend of his - useless I know but wanted to mention it - oh and his version of Virgina B's Northern anthem is rather good!
  21. Very unlikely as they were a Prog band to begin with, starting life as The Underbeats, then Gypsy and then reforming with only James as the original member and calling themselves the JWGB. Recorded 2 albums for RCA but only one was issued. Hailed from Minneapolis/St Paul
  22. knackers Benji, I was just about to amend my post to say where the name originates from as well and see you did the honours!!!
  23. Guess all part of the same set-up Pete as Ninandy was owned and run by Andy Stroud and think the Stroud label was a member of the group, named after him obviously. Wasn't he married to Nina Simone?

The only one I have via Mr Manship
  25. Forgot to mention that Taffy, that guardian of all things soulful, put me onto an lp of his, self titled 'Mac Davis' that has a blinding crossover toon on it. Cant remember what the toon is as the house is still like a bombsite after Xmas and the building work but hopefully Taff will post here the title of the track. I also have a spare copy the said lp for sale @ £10
