hi all,i think we need pete s or 45cellar or ??? on the case with any matrix or stamp numbers in the run-out to authenticate this one,so what has a real one got in that run-out???,the scans that somebody put up from popsike one seems a very glossy label,and the other one seems a bit dull,help before i buy one,cos i like the tune !!!

for some strange reason i think the usa copy seems to be worth more,

heres a fleetwood 45s discography the d/ebbtides is number 4561 its a small?? boston label so my question is how come a smallish 60s detroit label owned by ed wingate etc decides to legally issue this on his own label via fleetwood was it a minor hit in the usa i havent really looked at the listing properly so is there anything interesting soulfully on fleetwood??? if nobody can put up a file of this 45 if you can bear with me its in one of my many boxes of 45s around the house/garage etc ill find the record but the hard part will to get my son motivated enough to put it onto cd via my record player so dont hold your breath,heres the link, https://paisleyhaze.com/fleetwoodMA.htm

i saw him at the queens hall leeds in about 74/75,and also at an all-nighter in peterborough at about the same time,does anyone remember the venue and date,but he did autograph my copy of the beat on uk s.city which i still have.

not sure how he got the name alan er maybee from school?? but the last time i saw him was at a soul night at the cutler-hammer social club in bedford one friday night years ago i think he came down from up north to go to a family wedding he did a spot at the c/hammer club that night and played his original big "ztsc" copy of mel britt does he still have it??,a nice bloke is foggy is he still about on the soul scene??

hello alan,i only put hammy as my number 5 dj because i new him from bedford when he was just a n/soul follower just like me he used to do the wigan thing in the mid 70s etc along with other celebs like mr tony warot and mr tommy taylor i got married and drifted of the scene kept all my 45s but came back a few years ago and mr hammy has turned dj and a very fine one imo.

im speechless pete yet again you come up with a brill tape/cd the mems keep flooding back did me and my mates really used to flit from the pier to the w/gardens in the day as and when we fancied it during the night in the mid 70s?? was it newies on the pier and oldies in the w/gardens cant remember,but remember the tunes played at the pier were a bit different than played at wigan loved it all though!!!

we all just use this great site for whatever but we/i probably do not appreciate the stuff that happens behind the scene with running this website etc so for me its hats off to you all at soul-source a blip now and then makes you miss and realise how great the site is so thanks to all at soul-source ps-im not a brown noser!!!!

hello wilxy,i think 134,135,143 are real cheapy 45s but 109x nowdays is a lot of dosh has been booted but it sticks out a mile.

hello wilxy,ive been in the same boat as you mate but probably longer,yep golden world 45,dickie and the ebbtides,one boy one girl/ive got a shadow,not sure if it came out on demos and issues on g/w number 45,but i do have the pre golden world issue of this 45 its on the fleetwood label with same titles as g/w 45 (hope im correct with this info) last time i played it (years ago) i thought it was a pile of p** imo but if you are a completist like me you must have it!!,so ive sort of completed the label ??? along with ric tic and wingate labels,will post up a not very good scan from popsike of the fleetwood 45,lastly ive given up on ever finding a golden world copy,hope this helps.
