for skips or crud in the groove(s) i put a blob of neat washing up liquid in the area to be cleaned leave it for a while then i use a couple of sharp wooden toothpicks i use a couple because the wooden tip collapses quickly then do what joe does above using your deck or on a flat surface i normally use a clean teacloth flat on our dinner table then wash the washing up liquid off under the cold tap using cotton wool keeping the label clear of the water, sounds drastic but this has worked well for me lots of times.
  11. i still love the intro to the gypsies, its a womans world, but for me imo the rest of the tune gets a bit messy.
  12. how about (dick) van dyke, save my love for a rainy day

hello all+ n/nev,hopefully this is in keeping with your thread but for years(mid 70s) i have listened to thelma lindsay, prepared to love you on magic city only for years later to be flipped over and the other side was played, why wernt you there, which to me is a great tune and hidden away for years??? i can only ever remember the prepared to love you side being played at wigan/st ives/p,boro all nighters so who was the dj who flipped, prepared over and what year was it???
