Contours - Baby Hit & Run - A Re-Re-Lease ?
yeah I def' remember buying the album for this track and playing it. I am sure if I could have got the 7" I would have bought that instead, and the shop I used to buy my stuff from that was very upfront with the stock they carried, 'Jumbo Records' in Leeds. I used to go in 2 or 3 times a week for the latest Motown tracks.

World's Wealthiest Dj's
What has to be taken into account about top DJs, is that a lot of their revenue comes from royalties from the records that they have made in the past, especially names like Carl Cox, Sasha, Oakenfold etc. It's not all DJing fees. I remember in the 90s, Judge Jules was paid 250K to play for 2 hours in Sheffield, so there are a lot of big earners out there. Pete Tong cost £1200 when I booked him to play a gig for me in 1993, so that would be what? 8K'ish now, but well worth it, he packed the 1800 capacity club and there were 400 queuing to get in, he also plugged the gig on Radio 1 for 2 weeks.

Comedy Sale Of The Day
I can't see it selling at that price if it does as said above it will be a basket case that buys it. Mind you, I hope that's what it's worth cos I know where there's one for a tenner. LOL

Tunes That Can Bring You To Tears
One that physically and literally brought me to tears. I had had a rest from the scene, about 15 years, reason being it was getting a little too commercial for me at the time. So I'm on the computer one day surfing the net for House record purchases, and one of the searches brought up the term 'Night owl'. It rekindled memories that the term used to be a Northern Soul term and I clicked on the link. I can't remember now what site it took me to, but Darrell banks - Our love is in the pocket began to play automatically. I tingled and wept and I knew I had rediscovered an old love affair.

Shirley Ellis - Soul Time
Hard to say isn't it? Can't find anywhere that gives the release history. I think you may be right about the 7463 tho', but the 5771 looks very similar.

Shalamar Cover Up
Weren't you also responsible for the signing of 'Shannon' to the 'Warehouse' label Ian?

Shirley Ellis - Soul Time
Isn't the dark orange spoked centre the original UK issue? the import being the original US issue? Also the UK 3rd issue (as above) is now fetching up to £30.

You're Gonna Laugh, But
Yeah, 'Tribute' is a House record no doubt about it, and Bob Sinclar a House producer. Just one that was picked up by the New Northern Boys I guess, along with DJ Genesis (another Tribute) and Drizabone - Pressure. I know that Muriel Day is not the best "Northern" tune in the basket, but listen beyond the Sesame street riff and there are some very nice strings and key changes tucked away in there.
