I think that sounds reasonable. The vinyl on the non-Archer stamp copy I have is different/better/"smoother" than the uneven Archer copy I have. I'd still like a Demo or Archer stamped one but I'm happy this isn't one done especially to meet demand on the UK scene. I think the uneven Archer one WAS done for the NS scene I think it may be a similar situation with other records that were re-pressed at the time - 2 Bob Relf's, 4 (?) Tommy Neal's, 3 (?) Majestics etc. Just my thoughts - but I still want a Demo or Archer stamp one PLEASE(anybody???)

I think it's fantastic and would love to buy one with the correct "ARCHER" stamp, Demo or Issue. As mentioned above, perhaps out of step with current tastes. I got this from eBay a number of years ago. The sellers owned a second hand shop in USA selling household bric-a-brac and wouldn't post to the UK. So, Bob A (boba on here R.I.P.) bought it for me and posted it over here. No stamp but all the same markings as the copy just sold.

For those of you who attended our first event at Bilston, here we go for Round 2. If you’re planning your nights out in March, give this a try. It will certainly freshen up your diary as a break from the usual treadmill of events. As they say “if you always do what you’ve done, you’ll always get what you’ve got”. In some cases that can be good but sometimes, just sometimes, it can feel like “Groundhog Day”!! This is a TOP QUALITY venue, genuinely outstanding. It’s clean and friendly with a cracking Built-In sound system. There’s loads of convenient parking in and around the venue. As you approach, you get that tingle as the muffled sounds start to come into focus. Through the doors, up the stairs and the night starts. The sounds you’ll hear will cover a wide range of styles and era’s. You will be certain to hear some much loved favorites, you'll be reminded of forgotten gems and no doubt add to that list as the DJ’s selected produce a little bit of MAGIC! Hope to see you there.

Doris Troy is one of my favorite songs. I wasn't aware of the Dee Dee Sharp version so thanks @The Yank and @Simon T. Was the Dee Dee version ever issued on vinyl - either at the time or subsequently? Thanks

I don't think the UK copies "jump" as such. I think it's just something to do with the recording. It's as if the sound for the UK copy was taken from a USA copy that DID jump. So, the actual vinyl on UK copies is fine, it's just the recording. Hope that makes sense!! Take a listen (and look) at 1min 45 seconds on this JM youtube clip. You can hear it BUT I can't see the needle jump. I picked up a USA copy on ebay from a seller in Sweden for a very good price in 2020. I think it was listed in the wrong category.
