  1. Can't forget this one.....

This is from you tube- not 100% sure its her though
  3. The "Super Bad" album originally came out on Little Star and was a mix of Saru and Little Star material I've seen it on Trip but not Up Front but both labels were part of the Springboard International group of companies.
  4. The song that gave Mirwood their first chart hit....
  5. From September, 1965. The bottom pic from early "66.
  6. It's actually an EP with 4 different artists- 1) Casualeers- "Dance, Dance, Dance" and Larry Coverdale and the Four Horsemen "Say You Really Love Me" on one side. The other side has The East Coast Journey Men - "Down, Down, Down" and Kenny Ballard and the Fabulous Soul Brothers- "I'm Losing You". The cover was recycled from the late 50's Roulette album "Rock and Roll Record Hop" with 67 added to make it seem current(?).
  7. Another great one from the Olympics ...
  8. A near mint copy of the Spanish 45 EP went for $166 in November of 2017, a near mint promo went for $126 in October 2017 and an excellent - copy went for $101 in Feb, 2013. All prices in USD.
  9. I wouldn't believe every comment that's posted on youtube. If you pick "Stop And Get Ahold Of Myself" by Carole Waller, she comments that she wrote both sides of her single (Including "Stop..." ). Since Gladys Knight's version came out before Carole's, it would be a bit of a stretch to go back in time and write "Stop..." before Van McCoy did.
  10. That is definitely the Dramatics- sounds like it was slowed down though.
  11. It depended on what record store you shopped at. Some had the records out in the open- others had a list at the counter and you would tell them what 45 you wanted.
  12. With J.J. Barnes and the Parliaments flying up the charts, I think the company decided to promote those two releases and the Jackie Beavers 45 got lost in the shuffle.
  13. I've never seen a copy of "The Night" on a U.S. 45. As far as I know, it was only available on the Chameleon album.
  14. Going slightly off topic- does anyone own one of these pillow covers ?
  15. This sure did make the rounds- here's another version
  16. Not a 100% sure but this looks like it came from one of the Oldies specials that are frequently shown on PBS on American tv. If it is, it would date from the late 1990's/ early 2000's.
  17. I think the 45 looks great. Sound quality is good- don't think it came from a master tape- sounds decent.
  18. Indeed I did.

More Disco than Northern but still a great track !
  20. This is the unreleased version of "How Can I Ever Find A Way" from the Fifth Estate CD. Someone just made it look like it was a Red Bird promo. It is slightly different from the released version- definitely not the same from 0:09- 0:15 when you compare the 2 versions side by side.
  21. Alt. version ?
  22. There was a thread on SS a few years back (2015) - basically the backing band was identified as the D-Men who later became the Fifth Estate. Carol and Gerri were remembered as "a couple of girls from the neighborhood".
  23. Quite a few of these on e-bay right now... Kent City #032- Maxine Brown- "It's Torture"/ Chuck Jackson- "I'd Be A Millionaire"
