  1. It is with great sadness I have to announce that 7TH October and 2nd December dates will now be Cancelled, this is due to a difference of opinion on how best to promote the Event on the Exterior of the Pub. The new Manager seems to think the very Professional Banner that has been put there for 7 of the last 8 years is putting people off coming to the premises. Another venue has come forward to hold the December Date, along with two more, I will keep everybody posted. Regards Paul
  2. After a record breaking night in April, one would have thought June's date to be a little of an anti climax not the case. The dance floor was busy all night, Steve after a short absence away played a storming set. We now look forward to August, when Steve and my Brother Mark will be along to play a set each to give me an extended break as it's my Birthday. If you have not visited us as yet then why not make a Weekend of it, Buxton has got a number of Hotels and numerous B+B's and 2 Campsites. The Cheese is situated just off the Market Place going South on the A515, there is parking at the rear of the Pub (under parking eye) and plenty of road side parking nearby. the Cheshire Cheese 01298 212453. PLEASE NOTE THIS EVENT IS CANCELLED DUE TO ILL HEALTH
  3. Another excellent night at The Cheese on the 1st April, Tim's help was invaluable as it gave me the time to speak to some of our visitors from Cheadle Staffordshire all eleven of them, Matlock and Peterborough. Our next date is the 3rd of JUNE, which is Buxton's Summer so do not miss it also my good Friend Steve Neale should be returning, we will be playing across the board as usual and hope to see you there, Locals included Please. Please note there is parking at the rear of the Pub (under Parking Eye) and plenty of on street parking nearby, there is also Seven B+B's within 300 yards of The Cheese.
  4. Firstly big thank you to all who attended our last Soul Night, our next date is April 1st (no jokes please) although I am thinking of putting a cardboard replica of myself behind the decks and seeing what the reaction will be. Tim Blowers will be playing a few well chosen tunes in a 35/40 minute spot, we will of course be playing across the board as usual. The Cheshire Cheese is located across the Market Place heading South on the A515, parking is at the rear of the pub (under Parking Eye) and there is plenty of street parking nearby.
