WOW ... From start to finish a most enjoyable afternoon of quality sould music; see paylist posted below in the original event posts.

As with most events it started slowly with a few visitors through the doors during the first set but what the latecomers missed was an amazing set of tunes played by Ady Crampton. As the attendance grew through Adys set, Steves first set and my first set we could feel the atmosphere growing and by the time our first guest, Steve Burke took to the decks the room was looking full. Luckily it was a fine day, the patio doors were opened and the sounds and visitors spilled out into the serene surroundings of the hotel gardens.

Steve put together another amazing set which brought a few dancers to the floor and frequent applause for the room. Our second guest was Debbie Turner from Doncaster, a friend and someone I know had impecable taste in music but who a few of our local friends did not know. By the time Debbie T finished her set the applause could be heard from all corners of the room, what an amazing spot of Crossover Soul Debbie put together.

Our final guest was one of my old friends from the early days of travelling the country to all-nighters, dayers, soul nights etc. but someone who I had kept in touch with and been amazed by the quality of music he owned. David Eyley, alias Jegger played another amazing set for our event that had people dancing, applauding and generally gob smacked by the sheer quality of his tunes.

Well someone had to follow our amazing guest and that was Steve Wileman but he pulled out some extremely rare and wonderful tunes to keep the party going so much so that it was now me starting to panic as to keeping the event at feaver pitch. I managed to compile a set that brought a few to the floor so success of a type in fact at one point I can remember hearing Dave Eyley shouting not another .. he had already danced to two tunes and I think at this stage of the day his physical well-being was brought into question by the 3rd successive tune he had to dance to .. sorry Dave but great to see you and all other guests and visitors alike enjoying themselves.

That wasn't the end because we had included an open box hour at the end, taken up by Rob Gray, Wayne Arbon and Jayne Cresswell, three guests who I knew possessed quality tunes and a great taste in music and who delivered on the day. All 3 guests played some amazing tunes to finish our first event of in style.

Thanks to all who came and contributed to the event.
