Saturday Soul Alldayer

A 700 mile round trip meant expectations for this one were high and yes,  they were met to such an extent we are already planning our next trip there from North Yorkshire. 

Rarer , underplayed with a few more popular oldies on ovo , great sound system & deck cams. 

Excellent Djs each bringing something different and varied to the table - with the exception of Paul Rockey and Pete Lyster all new to us . All got a great reaction from the appreciative crowd and for us , the added bonus of hearing something refreshingly different from their respective collections . No self indulgence , no snobbery - just great vinyl irrespective whether it was an underplayed £10er or a collectors ‘must have ‘ at £000s . 

Fabulous  ‘modern’ venue including an outside terrace with further seating & bistro style tables with open, floor to ceiling glass doors and straight onto the dance floor (with adjacent comfy seating & bar) made for a wonderful and welcoming event . With the clear blue skies and sun  Paul Rockey remarked it was reminiscent of the Perpignan Weekender at the Palais de Congress a few years ago . 

If only other ‘events’ were like this ....
