Kevin Johansen - Already a Rivoli regular deejay at the packed Northern Soul Nights. Kevin started to collect the jazz dance music around 1985 and moved to London in 1987 and became a regular at Upstairs at The Wag on the regular Monday jazz nights dancing to deejays like Sylvester and Gilles Peterson. When the legendary Sunday afternoon sessions at Dingwalls started he became a regular there until it shut.
He will be providing the sixties and seventies Bossa and Mambos along with the organ grooves.
Ian Dewhirst - In 1977 Ian was at the top of the Northern Soul tree having residencys at Wigan Casino and Cleethorpes but he was getting priced out of buying the records. He got on a plane to Los Angeles to find them himself with help from his friend Simon Soussan. Whilst out there he was going to the top soul/funk clubs and produced a record by Shalamar.Back in Britain he met Paul Schofield in Jumbo records in Leeds and got into buying the latest Jazz Funk releases. This led him to his residency at Leeds Central and all-dayers at Blackpool Mecca, Manchester Ritz, Nottingham Palais and Birmingham Locarno. In the eighties he was the compiler of the classic Jazz Funk Mastercuts series of lp's. Ian will be sticking to the classic jazz funk cuts.

After the success of our inaugural Soul night last December we are going back to School for our next Northern Soul & Motown night at the Lamp, for a lot this is the old Brownhills Central Boys School, i have been told the old Torture Tree is out of bounds. Arron is an old friend of the Beat Boutique and one of our favourite guys. Known to everyone across the soul community, ‘Azza’ was integral to the Leeds soul scene as one of the main forces behind the legendary ‘That Driving Beat’ night.
 
Also representing the White Rose (although very much now an adopted Mancunian) will be none other than David Ripollés. Co-founder of Ultimate Choice, Dave has brought the heat to nights and weekenders across the continent and has never failed to blow people away with his exceptional spins.
