Hi there & thanks for reading this=0) . After the success of  previous Northern Soul & related events ,  we're  holding another Northern Soul Nite on FRIDAY the 17th of October 7pm-11.30pm. Putting The 'Northern' & the'' Soul' back into Manchester . The venue itself was build 1901/2 is & originally called the 'Hulme Hippodrome' then known later has the 'Playhouse Theatre' now known as the Niamos Centre.  Address; Nia Centre,Chichester Road ,Hulme. Manchester .M15 5EU. It's situated behind 'Hulme Garden Centre' ,a 2 minute from 'Kim's Kitchen'. For  me it's got 'Northern Soul' written all over it & many who have attended tend to agree. It doesn't look like much from the outside ,but once inside it's got that old music hall look similar to Wigan Casino (although very much a lot smaller) or indeed Bradford Queen's Hall (again but on a smaller scale). It's got a nice wooden dance floor & balcony's (Strictly No Drinks the Dance Floor). It's worth visiting the website & having a look at the photos you can see what I am getting at www.niamos.co.uk or check out peoples facebook posts,pictures & Videos. The music policy will be 'right across the board' Classic & Under played Northern, Motown, Newies , Cross Over & Modern. Hopefully something to please everyone on the Rare/Northern Soul Scene. We are very pleased to announce that we have from Manchester's very own 'Room At The Top' - Connor White, John Kino(Manchester) ,Danny Paton(Wigan), Bella- Niamos resident DJ ,Maxine Bellini (Manchester)-Soul in The Cellar. The Harold's got it all - a warm welcome & fab, friendly atmosphere; great sound system with request-friendly DJs - if they've got it with them, they'll play it for you!  There's a top-notch dance floor with absolutely no need at all for talc; bar prices at WMC rates; large car park & good transport links. It's situated on the main road, with easy access from Chain Bar Roundabout, regular busses from Bradford, Brighouse, Leeds & Huddersfield & it's also close to Low Moor train station. There's even a nice hotel (The Guide Post) less than 10 mins walk away for those who fancy making a weekend of it!                                                                                                                    
We tend to limit numbers to 120 max in order to make sure everyone has a seat & also a space on a not-too-crowded dance floor, so please be early to avoid disappointment.
