I think this was the start of me coming down with Christmas 'flu so wasn't on top form tonight and only decided to come out at the last minute. Stellar DJ line up - John Weston and Dave Rimmer on the same bill is always worth seeing, being Wolfies they were pretty free to play whatever they wanted so you do hear a lot of unknown stuff and a few surprises; I think John played Hank Ballard - Come On Wit' it and Dave Johnny K Killens & The Dynamites - Frenchy the Tickler; would fit right in with almost any DJ's set but you won't hear them anywhere but here . More of a listening experience than a full on dancer's club this, but you certainly won't be hearing the hackneyed number 275 or 375 here (no it's not a Chinese takeaway menu, Andrew will understand). Not knocking it at all, if you want to hear something different this is certainly the place for you - the number of DJs from other clubs in the room is testament to the influence this place has. Drew the dancefloor, always a good one to draw although you have to fill in the dancers as the night proceeds. I rarely give 5 stars - I've noticed that often reviews are by people connected with the event who inevitably give 5 stars to everything. I am trying to be objective. Link to review
